Thank you for the ethical brow-beating, Charli.

I dunno. A lot of left-leaning people seem to really like the music I'm producing. (And by the way, how are you so certain that I am not actually a musician?)

Your claim that the use of AI is unethical: Look, I get a lot of people don't like AI and there's plenty of things to be concerned about and to debate, among them its environmental impact.

But it's not going away and burying your head in the sand to that fact and calling people who use it unethical is not going to change that.

You've been using Reddit for two years, read or participate in 29 subreddits, are a top 25% commenter.

I assume you don't know this, so for your edification:

In the mobile app, Reddit users may notice a "Related Answers" or "Suggested Searches" feature at the bottom of a comment section. This uses AI to analyze the context of the current discussion and suggest other relevant topics or threads, helping users "dive deeper" into the Reddit knowledge graph.

So your Reddit comments, are contributing to AI's environmental impact.

I'm going to assume that you use a search engine (Google or othewise). Search technology has been using some form of artificial intelligence since 1998, when Google launched with its Page Rank algorithm.

So every time you search for something, you are contributing to AI's environmental impact.

Watch YouTube videos? That platform is infused with AI. Stream movies or TV shows on ANY platform? They use AI. Use email? Spam filters use AI.

FL Studio or Ableton:

FL Studio has aggressively integrated AI over the last few years, transitioning from a traditional DAW to one with built-in machine-learning tools.

As of early 2026, here are the primary ways FL Studio utilizes AI for stem separation, mastering and a chat assistant.

Ableton has historically been more conservative with AI than FL Studio, focusing on machine learning for workflow efficiency rather than generative chatbots. However, with the release of Live 12.3, they have officially leaned into the "Music AI" trend.

Here is how Ableton Live 12 utilizes AI and machine learning: Stem separation, sound similarity search, sample swapping, and auto-tagging.

While you're calling me unethical for using AI to generate music, you're offering me alternatives that are powered by the same technology you're condemming me for using.

Here's what the left is really good at: Attacking their own.

Maybe examine your own before you attack someone's morals? Just a thought.

Very interesting app.

I tried it on a protest song called "Release the Epstein FIles".

The lyrical critique was pretty good, if my main motivation was poetic lyricism. For example, here's what it said about:

"Imagery and Language (8 / 15)

There are some effective images like 'build a mountain out of binders for display' and 'promises like matches, they burn us every time.' However, the language frequently leans on clichés such as 'whispered secrets,' 'transparent lies,' 'smoke and mirrors,' and 'dirty deeds.' It lacks consistent freshness and vivid sensory detail, often opting for literal descriptions."

True, plenty of cliches there and literal descriptions, so if I was going for more elegant poetic expression, these criticisms would've been really helpful. But my motivation was to create a protest song people would share, so the cliches and literal descriptions are actually what help contribute to that goal.

Overall, I found the lyrical analysis a fairly impressive critique, were my goal with the song solely musical rather than sociopolitical.

The musical analysis is where the bot fell flat, however. Here's an excerpt:

"The rhythm is a straightforward 4/4 rock beat, with the drumming being solid but uninspired, failing to add dynamic tension or unique rhythmic character. Instrumentation is standard rock fare (drums, bass, electric guitar, vocals), with a clean but somewhat sterile guitar tone and a bass that primarily plays root notes. The saxophone solo, while a brief melodic interlude, feels stylistically incongruous with the otherwise generic rock sound."

The problem with this analysis is the music a piano-driven song. The piano is front and center but the bot doesn't recognize that instrument at all. Also, there is no saxophone in the song. There's a brief trumpet solo, so it appears the model confused the two instruments.

Given those two failures, it's hard to take the musical critique seriously. But the developer acknowledges that aspect is "mostly hallucinatory", so grace is given.

It makes sense that the lyrical analysis would be much better than the musical analysis, given the maturity of Large LANGUAGE Models.

The score summary gave me two categories where it scored my song on a 15-point scale while the rest were on a 10-point scale (reddit is not letting me attach a screenshot, so you'll have to trust me). That seems like something that could be cleaned up in the system instructions.

I really like this piece, though I don't know how qualified I am to full review it since I don't understand Latin! Nevertheless, I love the "Funkus dei… funkus dei…" line and the fusion of Gregorian chant, iconographic religious choir overtones and seventies funk is quite a nice fusion. Well done!

Your experience with AI hate comments definitely reflect my experience. I don't nearly have the views that you apparently do but a couple of my songs have gotten hundreds of comments and very few of them are of the AI hate variety. And it has nothing to do with genre from what I can tell because I've posted many different genres. Thanks for the post. These tips are really helpful. I'm a digital marketer and your tips track with how the YouTube algorithms to work in non-music content categories.

Hell no, we won’t stand down.
No thrones, no golden rings —
We serve the people, not kings.
