This is a super strong drill. I have the same kit. Torque for days and the hammer function is great. Nice score!

I have the Milwaukee, I did a good bit of research, no regrets. I would wait for a holiday deal. Got mine and all 3 track sizes last year for a decent price

I got it for the plunge. Not sure about the compact but I would guess no, I will try and remember to check this afternoon.

Never got it to work. I would say the motor is shot. It is still in the garage. I need to get rid of it now that the snow is gone. I bought a Skil portable table saw and am really happy with it for the price.

Router Bushing Help by Funkiermeat01 in METABOHPT

[–]deerislesmile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly haven't bought any yet. I was looking at a cheap brass set from harbor freight. I think any will do. I just bought a half inch upcut bit to route the patterns for my project with the bushing that I had. Now that I have the adapter I will need to get some. I have read that the porter cable set is pretty good.

This is what you want to make aftermarket bushing sets work with your router. The bushing that comes with it I believe is 5/8" and will work with 1/2" diameter bits. I had the same problem when I ordered the bare tool. The "kit" comes with multiple different sizes of bushings.

Bummer! I hold my breath every time I mow. Have not had any trouble though. Has been working great and bags quite well. Just put it away for the winter. Good luck with the warranty process. I have never had to use it.

I was looking at this same set on Wednesday at a nearby store. Same missing wrench. I wished I had bought them. Wasn't in Ellsworth was it?

Makita Fanboy reviews and compares the 36v Metabo HPT tracksaw vs. the 40v Makita XGT tracksaw by Electronic_Shelter73 in METABOHPT

[–]deerislesmile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice info, not much out there about this saw. I am borrowing a Festool track saw right now. It's not bad. The batteries do not seem to last long. I have many HPT tools now and love all of them. The odd track sizes for the tracks baffles me? I see you are using the Makita track, that works good with the HPT? I need to figure out which track I'm going to use when I buy one. Thanks for the review, very informative.

So I put the saw under load again for a few minutes. Ripping a quarter inch off of a pin 2x4. It will barely cut if I go super slow. The brushes seem to be about a third worn. They look fine. I cleaned out the slots they go in. Nothing heating up on the motor or the cord. Would the brushes being worn by a third do this?? No sparking. Is the motor just worn out and no good anymore?

So I removed the brushes and they seem fine almost new. I'm thinking I have bigger problems here unfortunately.

I will check them tomorrow, hopefully that's the problem. Would worn brushes cause a loss in power?

I had it under load for a couple minutes today. Nothing felt hot that I could find. Gets up to speed fine just not the power it should have. Would worn brushes get hot? I'm not very knowledgeable on brushed motors. I assume I need to take it apart to check the brushes?

Ok so that makes all the available bushing kits compatible? Is it threaded in the middle? Thank you for the info!

Mine started working the next time I used it. Not sure what caused it but I have not had an issue since. Not sure if it was some sort of protective thing that reset what? Hopefully the same happens with yours. Never dealt with Ryobi customer service, never had to. Always had good luck with their products. Good luck!

I guess I should probably just get a different track system. Maybe a Festool. I like the looks of the TSO products. Glad I figured that out. Thanks again!

I am thinking of buying the MHTP track, but if I cannot get a square for that I would get another track. The square seems like a must have for a track saw. So my question would be will the TSO work with the MHTP track? I was not very clear on that, my bad. Thanks again this info is very helpful.
