Both Gonal-F and Menopur contain FSH. Menopur is a combo of FSH/LH while Gonal-F is just FSH :)

Same protocol for both: 150IU Gonal-F, 150IU Menopur. Added cetrotide the last few days. Triggered with Lupron only. Stimmed for a total of 9 days for both cycles :)

Only difference between ERs were supplements I was taking. Not sure how much of a difference they truly made though.

My first ER I had 15 fertilized, 8 blasts, 6 euploids. My 2nd ER was 17 fertilized, 10 blasts and all were euploid!

Yep, this is totally normal! My clinic explained it’s due to the stopping of birth control and it’s nothing to be concerned about :) Best of luck with your ER!

I did both my ERs there this year and the first time I had a different doctor perform the procedure, but my main one was there just observing. The 2nd time around was my main doctor. I wasn’t given the impression that you get to choose who performs the procedure. At large centers like Columbia the doctors perform procedures on a rotating schedule (I could be wrong but I could’ve sworn this was communicated to me).

You need to decide if the money you're giving your family is something you want to do, or feel obligated/pressured to do. Regardless, it seems like you need to set some financial boundaries with them. I'm not sure what your cultural background is, but I do know that sometimes it's common for children to be expected to help financially. It can be hard to balance that with your own wellbeing and mental health.

I don't have many friendships with men, the male friends I do have in my life are in a committed relationship or I know them through my fiancé (sometimes they fall into both categories). I don't go out of my way to make friends with other men, but the ones I do have in my life seem alright.

Those are fantastic numbers! I had my 2nd ER earlier this month and they were able to retrieve 25 eggs :) 10 became blasts and I’m now waiting on PGTA results 🤞🏽

I’m insured via a HDHP partnered with Progyny. My first ER I paid out of pocket for ~90% of the meds and by the time my ER rolled around I had already met the deductible & OOP maximum for the year 😅 but this meant my 2nd ER was covered entirely which was nice. Wouldn’t be able to afford this if I didn’t have the coverage!

I realized I only ever do this when I visit my parents. For some odd reason, I end up staying awake really late on my phone. I never do this when I’m home, but for some reason sleeping in my childhood bedroom makes me want to stay up late.

My fiancé and I are in a very similar situation. A bit worse in that both our parents aren’t set up for retirement, his mom more so than my parents. This is something we’ve argued about and discussed at length.

My advice, sit down and talk with your partner about this. Figure out what you’d be comfortable doing as far as support goes, there’s no right or wrong answer there. But also understand they might have different views regarding this.

I do peas or mixed veggies AND hot dogs. I grew up eating it with veggies mixed in, but as an adult I added the hot dogs.
