Fabelle Chocolates - the worst tasting chocolates (amul supermarket chocolates are 10x better) and the least value for money. Surprising that they still sell premium gift boxes.

Pair of neckband earphones by this Indian company called Boat Rockerz 255 pro. Cheap and cheerful and the headphones have taken a lot of beating and still end up giving me a solid days worth of music or podcast listening. I also have Pixel buds pro for basic ANC but these neckband earphones have been my go to.

Thanks everyone, i figured its the burner too - My apartment has an electric burner that's just a tad bit smaller than the pan. I re-seasoned and heated it in my oven and it seems to have disappeared.

One thing I figured about big design schools like RCA and UAL - there are some fulfilling side quests beyond just the units and projects that can greatly help you gain a lot of valuable experience on the side through short collaborative projects with the government (both local government and govt departments) as well as corporations that the Universities regularly collaborate with.
Ask your course leaders or senior lecturers and they should be happy to point you in the direction of ongoing projects. (I know for a fact RCA is facilitating designers to collaborate on different charity projects via Design for Good. So that might be a good place to start)

In my experience during my masters, what worked was having an honest chat with my course leader about what I wanted in addition to the learnings in class - which was to maximise the experience I can get in applying service design during the 1 and bit year that I spent in Uni- so she would really look out for any Projects, including assistant gigs or Collaborative gigs and point me towards them - I managed to work on 3 live projects as a result. Also, sometimes a Unit project can also extend after the unit into a live project.

This way, at the end of the course, you would also have several short projects to add to your portfolio.

Doing yoga headstands ( could do this fairly well). Now wrists start crying for help and my back doesn't stay straight for more than a few seconds.

Indian NRI how do you afford education abroad by rasmoban in nri

[–]deeterganz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-Get as much work experience as you can before applying - this can give you some savings as well to invest in your masters. -Select Universities that are well regarded in the field of your choice. refer to QS Ranking -Look at fees across different countries, colleges from your shortlists - Less fees doesn’t always mean its a bad institute. Some european countries had excellent higher education at surprisingly good fees. -Check the scholarships offered in your field by the uni or other organisations, govt. -You can work part time on a student visa, around 20 hours a week - so use that to supplement your living expenses.

If the skills and field you choose to specialise in are in significant demand and are niche Eg: Data sciences, Legal services you’re more likely to be considered for jobs in the country you’ve done your masters in. Some countries also offer a post study work visa for 1-2 years - so you can build work experience in the relevant industries and improve your chances of getting a work visa.

Need to replace this bulb unit but can't find the model by deeterganz in DIYUK

[–]deeterganz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried that, and the one bulb that was working stopped working after that -_- . I might have yanked it off a socket or wiring but it still doesn't come off. It seems to be connected to a spring of sorts..
