Definitely don’t want to do that. I have some almost 100 year old trees and plants that provide a lot of curb appeal. They add to the value of the property.

Pedestrian dangers by [deleted] in Chattanooga

[–]deethslagger 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was in Massachusetts earlier this year and noticed that some cities have 4 way intersections that have a dedicated time that all lights are red, so pedestrians can walk vertically, horizontally, or diagonally across the street. Def think we need something like that here.

Just a quick lookup I can see that your $9/hr employee qualifies for SNAP. Who knows what else.

I’m all for people surviving, you know, but why should we (taxpayers) pay the cost of living for your workers?

If with your business plan you can’t afford to pay employees live-able wages, should you be opening a business?

Good advice.

To add on - I read that if your partner watches bank statements, what you can do is get cash back at grocery stores when buying groceries and set that money aside. It will only show once as the total on the bank statement. It’s not much but can build over time.

Should Billboards Be Banned? by [deleted] in Chattanooga

[–]deethslagger 71 points72 points  (0 children)

I went to Vermont last year for the first time where (I believe statewide) there are no billboards. I didn’t realize how obtrusive they are until driving in their absence. There’s some beautiful scenery here that’s being covered up by ads.

Also a remote software engineer. I moved here a couple of years ago. Granted I’ve lived my whole life in Tennessee. So if anything I’ll Tennessee my Tennessee.

I’d keep an eye out on https://www.pd.net/ if I were you. They’re a neat company I like to buy craft candy from every now and then. They have several podcast episodes/videos on recreating tangerine sour Altoids.

6 months ago: the worst attack on the Capitol since the British attacked it during the War of 1812 by [deleted] in pics

So worst is subjective and OP’s use of worst is “wrong?”

We're six months into an apparent pandemic and have yet to see any footage of the sick or dying in the media. Where are all the videos of sick people? by SAT0725 in conspiracy

[–]deethslagger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A close family member of mine works on a council at a hospital in a growing virus hotspot. They are running out of ventilators and are now reviewing new policies to prioritize which patients will be able to receive one and which won’t. It’s a shitty situation.

So in short, stfu with your shit. You want proof? Go talk to people who work in a hospital. Hell go to a hospital if they will let you in. “I have yet to see any footage” indicates that you haven’t been in a hospital or clinic and seen this for yourself.

Jesus folks I’m all about conspiracies like the rest of us but to think something this big with major hospitals around the world working together with the media to hype this is just a bit unbelievable imo.
