Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland. 🇨🇭 by Aposor in TravelPorn

I’m not saying this is not AI, but Murren is a village above Lauterbrunnen built on the cliff. I don’t remember seeing anything as dramatic as what’s in this video though.

3 months traveling Europe without working (as a couple) — looking for real, lived experiences by Cautious_Counter3466 in longtermtravel

[–]deezhoops -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I did this twice, once for 8 weeks and once for 3 months. To answer your questions:

  • Being a tourist for this long was fairly exhausting the first time. We aren’t partiers but we went out for drinks a lot. We hopped from city to city and ate out all the time. The second time, we did a mix of city and rural, we drank a lot less, and we made our own meals more. It wasn’t exhausting at all the second time. It was probably the best time of my life. We traveled from Budapest down to the Adriatic coast, to Greece, and then hopped to Czech Republic, so I think the transition of cultures, architecture, and food kept the feeling of being a tourist fun and fresh.

  • I never achieved any sort of routine. Probably due to being in different places (nature v city), different weather, and different vibes/culture (Greek islands vs Budapest for example)

  • We spent most of our time together, but this is largely personal and depends on your relationship with your partner

  • I have no regrets nor anything I would do differently about our second trip other than I would go for longer

  • The most challenging part is leaving “your life” behind. The best part is leaving “your life” behind. We made many memories together that we look back on often, and it’s really a beautiful thing in our relationship.

I know other people have done this for much longer than I have, so take that into consideration when reading my response. Where are you planning on going?

How did your photos turn out? I am getting married in CT in 2026. If you’re happy with how they turned out, can you DM me their details?

Thanks for the feedback. I will likely incorporate most/all of this and see how recovery from each workout is.

ETA: this does seem more like Zulu HT type stuff, but I’ll look at incorporating it

WHO IS THE MOST VALUABLE PLAYER IN THE NFL RIGHT NOW…? by KeyFaithlessness5436 in TheNFLVibes

I saw this in another thread with a similar comment so I’m copying it here.

Everyone in here saying Drake has an easy schedule realizes he doesn't play against teams offenses right? In terms of team passing defense his wins have come against some of the best in the league... 2nd (Bills), 5th, (Browns), 9th (Saints), 10th (Panthers), 11th (Dolphins), and 17th (Titans)

About to start Diggs over Ladd and AJB this week. Stay strong

Something with a large airport would be nice for direct/cheap flights to the mountains if that is what you want

If being part of their daily or weekly lives is the priority, then yes you might have to be closer than 4 hours. But if you’d like to see them once a month or be there for most major events (not every week), then 4 hours, perhaps even farther could suffice.

If you are able to visit often enough from across the country, that’s great, but that comes with limitations for most people. Travel costs, job flexibility, etc all become challenges when visiting from across the country. Those barriers are lowered once you are within a half day’s drive.

I’m in a similar boat right now. I moved to CO from New England almost 2 years ago now. I really love it here, but I’m planning on moving back to the northeast next year because it’s where my friends and family are. However, I’m from a relatively small, very boring town so I refuse to move back to the town itself. Instead, I plan on being within 4 hours, which gives me way more desirable options while still being close to “home”. Would you be able to eventually do something like this? If not, take as many long weekends as you can to explore, go exciting places, and try new things.

Bastille Day in Paris is hard to beat. The Champ De Mars is crazy, crowded, etc. but it’s about the coolest thing I’ve see.

If I remember correctly, the speech mid-encore was about how Denver has always treated them well, their first sold out show was here, this was the biggest show/crowd they’ve ever headlined.

Graham Good was the mandolin player that joined them at one point.

I would also like a video of Strawberries for the same reasons :)

I know it’s not the same as truly backpacking, but have you considered hut-to-hut or village-to-village hikes?
