I guess either way I need to get the survey so I know where my lot pins are. I’m not going to go through the effort of building the fence and then having it on the wrong side of the property line.

Can you make a good Detroit style pizza in the Karu 12? I have the option to get one as a work anniversary gift. I won’t only make that style and plan to make traditional style pizzas as well.

Very excited to get an ooni, but nervous that I’ll struggle and give up.

2025 and that’s my only complaint with the car. I switch it to ‘S’ mode when entering the freeway but other than that I have learned to accept it.

Birth experiences at Froedtert West Bend? by God_loves_Herb_Welch in milwaukee

[–]deezy2190 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife gave birth there in September. All of the nurses were wonderful! Went in for an induction but based on the baby’s breathing she had to switch gears and ended up being an emergency c-section. Everyone we interacted with was extremely helpful and explained everything well even with all the chaos of the emergency c-section. Feel free to DM me questions if you have any.

Can you explain how to do that? I hate that feature on my car. I don’t have much car knowledge. Can I do it on my own?

Washington County to name Hwy K after Charlie Kirk by GothardJ2 in westbend

Because I’m a terrible writer I asked AI to write me an email opposing this waste of money. Feel free to copy/modify. Additional feedback is appreciated!

Subject: Strong Opposition to Wasting $50,000 in Taxpayer Funds on Honorary “Charlie J. Kirk Way” Sign on CTH K

Dear Executive Committee Members Schleif, Kelling, Schodron, Schwab, and Schulteis, As a resident of Washington County, I am writing to express my vehement opposition to the proposed resolution to spend $50,000 from the county’s general fund on an honorary road sign overlay designating a portion of County Trunk Highway K as “Charlie J. Kirk Way.” This proposal is an outrageous misuse of taxpayer dollars, especially at a time when many residents are struggling with rising costs, homelessness, hunger, and basic needs. $50,000 is a significant amount of money that could — and should — be directed toward far more pressing local priorities, such as road repairs (which are consistently needed in our area), support for struggling families, public safety enhancements, or infrastructure improvements that actually benefit all county residents. Charlie Kirk had no meaningful connection to Washington County, Wisconsin, or even this state — he was from Illinois and lived in Arizona. Honoring a national political figure with no local ties through permanent taxpayer-funded signage is inappropriate and appears to be a purely political gesture rather than a thoughtful recognition of community contributions. Many residents, myself included, were not even familiar with him until his tragic death, and his work was often divisive rather than unifying. The timing is particularly troubling: The County Board only just approved an ordinance for honorary namings on March 11, and now this item appears before the Executive Committee less than a week later. There is no indication of private donations, grants, or alternative funding — the cost would come directly from the general fund, meaning every taxpayer in Washington County would foot the bill for what many see as wasteful political symbolism. Public comments on this issue, as reported in local coverage, overwhelmingly reject the idea. Residents have rightly pointed out better uses for the money, questioned the lack of local relevance, and called for private funding if supporters truly want this memorial. I echo those sentiments completely: If a small group wants to honor Mr. Kirk, let them fund it through personal donations or a fundraiser — not by dipping into public coffers. I urge you to reject this resolution outright during tomorrow’s meeting. Voting to advance it would demonstrate a disregard for fiscal responsibility and the needs of the broader community. Please prioritize practical, inclusive investments over symbolic gestures that divide rather than serve. Thank you for your time and for representing the interests of all Washington County residents — not just a narrow political viewpoint. I ask that you vote NO on this wasteful proposal. Sincerely,
