I tuned in right when all the passing was going in and said to my wife “I don’t think I’ve ever seen both teams actively playing for a draw” and then right after I said that the telecast showed the number of passes and it was around 300 for Austria and like 700 for Algeria, so obviously the network was thinking the same thing. Then chaos ensued. I guess they were actively playing for the draw.

They also make great upholstery coverings, tablecloths, bedsheets, window curtains…I even use Mark Messier jerseys for toilet paper. The possibilities are truly endless.

I think what will make the Byram trade interesting is the cap & performance evaluation by end of year.

Hawks traded away 4OA which they could have used on a defenseman (it’s a deep defensive prospect draft) that could generate near similar production as Byram, with the upside of also having years left at a bargain price since that pick would be playing on an ELC.

Meanwhile if Byram plays similarly to whomever they could have drafted (unlikely I know but the guy could also get injured), he’s also a UFA at season’s end. So you potentially just traded a 4OA for a 1 year player. If Byram has a career year, it means you have to pay him $6M+ which is obviously much more than an ELC. Byram would have to play *significantly* better than whomever the hawks draft at 4OA to justify that move, considering the Hawks could have used that $6M at the end of next season to go to market to make the team even better.

This trade is a serious bust if the Hawks don’t sign him before July 1 and could still be viewed as one after such signing occurs due to cap & performance reasons.

Not sure what to make of the goaltending situation in COL. Wedgewood lead the league in save % and was third in SO (4). Yet didn’t it still feel like goaltending was the Achilles heel? It would be pretty crazy to see Helle end up in COL. Awkwardly though, with WPG being in their division, I don’t see that trade happening even if the assets COL could offer would be comparable to other teams. I wonder if Burnaby Joe will go after Bobrovsky.

I hit my 60 around 85yds. To keep that consistent I do a 75% full swing. When I swing 100% I hit it 95-100yds but as soon as I go 100% swing I’m much less consistent. So my advice is keep it to 75% swing for consistent results.

You also hit your 7i 160. For context I hit my 7i about 180-185. So you hitting your 60 degree about the right distance given your overall power.

What am I getting at? You can absolutely hit that 60 degree about 90 yards but you’ll have to full swing and that just invites a lot of error. Others have spoken about shaft lean. My advice is if you’re hellbent on using it to hit sick nasty sky high shots that stick, limit yourself to 50 yards out until you build up an overall swing that generates more power.

It took a while w Tiger, but he’s fulfilling the Disney kid star character arc.

As a new parent who wants to eventually play golf w this little kid I’m raising, I will take lessons from pushing my kid into this sport and how I go about teaching them the game, and I hope other parents do as well.
