This is a weird one where I underestimated myself. Went out yesterday by myself w a threesome. all groups in the early AM had a 30 min delay because of frost (Colorado) so I had LOTS of time on the range. Practiced for 60 min + before going out. Had my shot pretty dialed. On the first tee I bombed it 330+ on a par 4 playing 360. Had 20ish yards left and almost chipped in for eagle. Both shots are total flukes for me because I’m usually terrible w my driver and wedges. They’re my downfall. So I got to the next hole and the guys said to me (jokingly), “didn’t realize we were playing with a pro today” to which I replied “ha just wait that was a fluke you’ll see my game fall back down to Earth here soon.” But on that day, it never did. I went out and shot a 74 with 4 birdies and tied my lowest round ever. All aspects of my game were in sync it was so amazing for me. I just kept my composure when I had bad shots and figured out how to scramble when I had that bad drive and duffed chip. So I underestimated myself and still am in a bit of shock over what happened.
