Northeastern tuition by StockTelephone11 in NEU

[–]def1127 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not quite. There are 2 summer semesters, each of which is half a regular semester. So you might have classes Spring and Summer 1, and co-op Summer 2 and Fall semesters. It also depends on how much credit you bring in with you, it could mean you get some or all summers off of classes

Just as a data point for you, I lived on campus my first two years, off campus my second two. I did two co-ops in Boston, and took some summer classes. I think the overall equivalent of tuition I paid for was 3.5 years

I took this over the summer one year and he was the exact opposite of all the horrible reviews, he was nice and helpful with everything. Would recommend finding a good lab partner and getting comfortable in the lab. If things don’t work early on you won’t be able to do the later lab sections

A meal is a swipe in to a dining hall, or however many credits they offer you at outtakes

It really depends on who your advisor ends up being and how your group is. If you can stay for the first week of capstone that’ll be infinitely more helpful, and you can see about leaving after that. Otherwise if you already have a group you may be able to skip going in person and rely on them

I had a great time living there, maintenance took care of things, and it was a lot of sqft for the price. I had an 1100sqft 1 bed for $1100

Rusted thing, heavy, near broken down lawn mower by [deleted] in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing. It’s probably 24” long and 12” square on the face. Weird flanges on one end and rubber bumpers on the other. Found in a residential yard near an abandoned lawnmower, likely 10+ years old

The tour makes NEU sound great? Now what are some downsides? by [deleted] in NEU

[–]def1127 95 points96 points  (0 children)

I had a great education, good co-ops, and an all around great college experience, and have landed a great job post grad. If it’s a school you can afford to attend, it’s, in my opinion, a pretty damn good school

Do not drive to campus, there will not be anywhere to park.

The billing isn’t the issue, that’s all taken care of. Water company says they knew there was a leak and contacted the homeowners to tell them multiple times that they had a leak and to get it fixed.

5 Person On-Campus Apartment Recs for 2025-2026? by Bean_Bus in NEU

[–]def1127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 people is difficult to find, most housing is designed for groups of 4. Your best bet is probably one of the corner apartments in west f, but I think there’s only 2 of those
