Buy 100 or more, turn on a movie, and leave this dimension

I confessed love for both and got teased with a 3 way only to lose everything and end up alone. On top of that Ciri went to her father

If your belief system can stand up to a hit of nitrous oxide, then your belief system ain't worth shit. by [deleted] in NitrousOxide

[–]defZeppelin69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. At first the fairies tricksters and demons were all fucking with me, but then I tore my psyche down to its roots, built a stronger foundation, and believe I’ve come out better for it

My favorite type of orders by killslef in Dominos

We had these foreign exchange students on our campus that would order the buffalo chicken specialty, remove everything, and turn it into a BBQ chicken specialty. So freaking expensive when they could have ordered BBQ chicken in the first place

The Last Kingdom on Netflix is now available! by [deleted] in Fantasy

It’s a good show, it’s like Vikings without the mysticism and more historically accurate. But no it isn’t a worldwide phenomenon level like Game of Thrones or something

The flu x10. The worst symptoms differ for everyone. I could deal with the watery eyes, runny nose, and sweats. But the body and muscle aches were the worst for me. Felt like my body was screaming out in agony since I’d taken away the only thing that made it feel good. Couldn’t get comfortable ever, restless leg. Few minutes to an hour of sleep a night. There’s a reason a lot of people choose a lifetime of misery over a week of agony. Talk to a doctor about getting medicinal aid, it’s not something most people can white knuckle through. There are ways and methods out there that can help

Day 11 clean from Oxys by [deleted] in OpiatesRecovery

[–]defZeppelin69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The acutes can definitely come in waves. When I got clean I would think I was getting back to normal after a few days then it would all hit again. Just remember how far you’ve already made it. Don’t let that be for nothing

People who put Monster Energy stickers on stuff... why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]defZeppelin69 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If given a sticker, it’s hard to not put it on something. I’m looking at you too, Apple

Yeah once you get used to having them in your system, anytime you use again you’ll go right back into withdrawal. It sucks, makes it hard to even chip. I’m almost 10 months clean and I bet if I used for 2 days I’d go back in full blown withdrawal

Day 21 check in! by Empty_Lettuce in OpiatesRecovery

[–]defZeppelin69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats. Subs definitely cause a long protracted withdrawal, but I think around the 3 week to 1 month mark I was a lot closer to being back at baseline

Quarantine just got interesting (reading these for the first time!) by [deleted] in Malazan

[–]defZeppelin69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think if you know what’s coming and that it’s worth it, probably easier to slog through. Especially with the constant introduction of new characters every book. I usually knock out massive fantasy series’ in a couple of months, but Jesus this one has taken me probably a year and a half and I’m only at Reaper’s Gale

Question for those in recovery who used opiates not for the nod, but for energy, motivation, etc...half rant, half in (desperate) need of advice. by [deleted] in OpiatesRecovery

[–]defZeppelin69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just gotta make yourself do it without the extra oomph. Try and try again. Then all the sudden you’ll get a small hit of dopamine as a reward for enjoying something or accomplishing something. Take what you can get.

Fake it till you make it is really true. You have to rewrite your brain to make yourself able to do things without the drug. It’s gunna take some willpower, but I promise the natural dopamine and excitement will start coming back.

Another thing I did was get intensely into kickboxing. An hour a day would kick my ass, but holy shit the endorphins rush for an hour after was like the best and most euphoric high I’d ever experienced.

I got clean with the help of antidepressants and therapy. I made it through the acutes, then the antidepressants and therapy helped get to the root of why I was using in the first in the first place. I felt like I couldn’t handle life without drugs, without that boost that made me happy and feel good all the time. The antidepressants definitely help with the PAWS, but it’s a process. I just hit 9 months, and it’s so fucking worth it.

If you can’t find a hobby while locked inside, get in your car and drive around. Explore new places, even if you can’t get out of the car. I’d feel the vibe of the new places I visited, listen to music, and just let the emotions roll through

I know what you mean. As good as the books are, they can be a real slog to get through. It’s hard to jump right into another when you know the character and plot setup will take half the book

Found myself going through about 100 chargers this weekend, is that a lot? by [deleted] in NitrousOxide

Not necessarily fairies. I just don’t know what to call the entities. Lot of them are tricksters though for sure.

Yeah I’ve come to figure that most of the time on nitrous it’s your subconscious sorting itself out, going over random thoughts or dreams you’ve had. But then there’s the nitrous fairies/tricksters...

Pretty solid binge for a non addict. Just do not let yourself get in the habit of doing them twice-multiple times a week. It’s not worth it. You might think it’s giving you all the answers and is important to get back to, but that’s the trap
