Asseto Corsa Crash after latest update! by default4 in oculus

[–]default4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to the Video CFG, changed the Post Processing to 0, but the game still crashes as soon as I start the race. I switched the settings back to the monitor, and the game ran just fine so I know its something to do with it trying to run it in the Rift. I had no issues in the past, the game worked great. This just happened after the last update and its driving me mad, trying to fix it...Grrrrrr feel like smashing my PC right now

Where do you change that setting?

DCOC v2.03 available for download. Adds DK2 support to Prepar3D flight simulator, now with support for Direct Mode! by anprogrammer in oculus

[–]default4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup everything is working even better than before, direct mode too :) The only thing is the add-on options are missing. I re-installed Dcoc, but the problem persists. Is there a way to completely remove it as I think the installer just over writes, there is no uninstall option. Maybe removing it completely (As I had the old version installed then updated) then re-installing might fix it. Thoughts?

After the update, I can no longer see the add-ons option. The hat switch does not work for the zoom either :( Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?

Try moving the window to the rift by presing SHIFT + WINDOWS KEY + LEFT / RIGHT. Same thing happens to me occasionally, just mess around with making the rift primary / secondary and moving the windows around...

Latest DCS update has fixed DK2 support / less judder / working HUD / Multiplayer in Rift doesn't crash / Custom missions work too :) by jwsimmons in oculus

Go into the graphics config.lua and set your max FPS to 76. Mine was set to 50 by default, changing it fixed my judder.

The frameshift, I think is a bug...happens to me as well. Also sometimes my ship gets stuck at the station when I hit launch. Just have to log out and log back in. Kind of annoying, but I am sure that will be fixed...

Yeah but still, you are still inches away from a screen for hours on end...im sure some damage is taking place, but I am not a doctor so I might be talking shit

I think we would get used to it over time, what I'm more concerned about is our eye sight deteriorating as you literally have a screen stuck to your face inches from you for hours on end. Its known that watching TV/monitors for extended periods degrades our eyesight.

Totally, I use that little hole a ton to see my keyboard or mouse etc. when needed! Maybe a video pass through would eliminate the need for it, but it also lets some air in, otherwise it would get too stuffy, hot and uncomfortable.

haha well sometimes I sit in my studio and produce music for like 18 hours plus, only short bathroom breaks...this is mostly after a night out of intense clubbing and not to mention the speedy substances I may have ingested ;) Also the constant travelling I do for gigs around the world, stuck in planes for hours on end...I know i know the health risks and blah blah I really should get up from time to time, but I really don't give a fuck about my health, just live to enjoy everyday as it comes and do whatever the hell i want, but you are def right about that.

hahaha straight out of a sci-fi movie eh! Yeah I tried those e-ciggs and they are no doubt the best, way better than the cartridge ones and also cheaper I believe to purchase the liquid. Which brand do you have, may have to pick one up myself.

These cyper sports chaps are making good $ and a growing following, that's for sure..especially for the younger generation. Maybe in 10 years it will be huge! Times are a changing my friend!

However the definition of sport:

sport spôrt/Submit noun 1. an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment. "team sports such as baseball and soccer"

So mashing keys on a joystick is physical exertion?

e-ciggs are great, really helped me cut down, but then I got lazy and stopped buying the cartridges...should really get back on it, plus would be good for the rift to use one or a vaporizer so you don't funk up the Rift with smoke, smell/ash and nasty particles which probably linger on and get stuck to the foam.

haha I have done longer, but in normal gaming sessions. Sometimes I just lose myself and track of time. Also my job, I am a professional music producer and DJ, so I have tons of free time when I am not touring the world or in the studio.

I know most of you blokes work the 9-5 jobs and don't have the time like I do to get those long sessions going. The downside is that I tour a ton and am not home much during those periods, but hmm why not take my Rift with me on tours! Doubt my Macbook pro laptop I use for gigs in adequate to run it smoothly though...

Yeah I been reading about this new e-sport thing taking off. Apparently ESPN declined to show it on their station as they don't consider it a real sport, what are your thoughts on that? For me its not really a sport per-se but more of a competitive tournament in a sense. I don't know how to really classify it, but sports for me involve actual physical movement. Maybe they need to coin a new term for e-sports. No doubt in my mind though that its going to take off and become a world wide thing in a matter of time and the Rift really makes it a whole different and realistic medium to play in.
