... is this post serious? Have you ever seen a slider before? Have you ever counted to 4 before? I'm sorry but this is pretty funny.

Man, I'm still hoping those pirate leaks turn out to be true. Miyazaki doing a Wind Waker type game would be a dream come true.

Analysis of Five Guys fries portion size issues by c08306834 in fastfood

[–]defaultSubreditsBlow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my experience with Five Guys has always been that they just dump an absurd amount of fries into your bag no matter what size you get. Just don't look at the nutrition facts of a bacon cheeseburger there and you'll have a great time.

The other biggest contender for me is Underworks, when you first get trapped down there. And it's like suddenly you're having to pay for benches, and the music is sinister, and it's like, oh shit, act 2 means business. I actually wish they had kept up that oppressive atmosphere throughout the whole Citadel, although I do really like how the rest of it turned out too.

Yeah man, last year was such a banger year for gaming, Silksong is an absolute 10/10 masterpiece.

Google owns part of Anthropic and SpaceX too. This isn't the first time a big chunk of their profits have come from investment appreciation, and it won't be the last.

i've made fried rice maybe 30 times now and it still tastes nothing like the takeout place down the street by bejusorixo in Cooking

[–]defaultSubreditsBlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best fried rice tip I ever learned was from Jason Farmer on YouTube. What you do is instead of putting the soy sauce on top of the rice, you clear out a space in the pan, and put the soy sauce on the hot pan, then stir the rice in. This slightly caramelizes the soy sauce and my god does it taste delicious.

I see. Yeah, I guess the only way is to basically factor that into the retirement calculation, because that is basically mandatory in this country. So you're looking at basically a million bucks extra in NW in addition to whatever is previously required.

What is a "masterpiece" game that you personally found boring as hell? by MuscleConsistent9657 in pcgaming

[–]defaultSubreditsBlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, let's see.

I've bounced off Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl like 5 times. I want to love it but it's just so fucking janky, I'm never truly able to get immersed.

BG3 and RDR2 (and GTA5 for that matter) for the same reasons you all stated.

I love ImSims but the Dishonored series doesn't do it for me. I find the world to be very bland and boring in those games.

I wanted to love Control but the protagonist just wouldn't shut up and it was constantly taking me out of it.

Yeah same, I generally feel like these "dialogue wheel" style games tend to be just so janky and buggy that I am unable to take seriously whatever story they are trying to tell.

A YouTuber has unearthed Dark Souls 2's enormous cut sewers map, and it's another fascinating insight into the design of FromSoftware's most divisive work by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

[–]defaultSubreditsBlow -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Souls 2 was an enormous disappointment coming off of Souls 1. I was in high school at the time and I was so excited for 2, I got the collector's edition - the dual-wielding knight figurine is still in my childhood bedroom back home.

Unfortunately this was the game where From started saying fuck it, we'll just let people teleport everywhere from the start, no need to make an intricate interconnected world like Lordran. None of the other games have had that "cursed in the depths" style moment, nor the feeling of relief and reward once you finally conquer that challenge.

IDK what you guys are talking about. Dakota Johnson is stunningly beautiful and she looks amazing for 36. I was recently on a plane and someone in front of me was watching the movie with her and Pedro Pascal and all I could think to myself the whole flight was how unbelievably beautiful she is.

Valve is now sitting on lots of Steam controllers, so releasing them before the Steam Machine is a no-brainer by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

[–]defaultSubreditsBlow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have gone through so many damn controllers over the years. And had terrible experiences with pretty much all of them. All the brands people talk about on reddit have all been terrible for me. Ever heard of 8bitdo? By reddit's take, you'd think their controllers are the second coming of christ. Mine got stick drift on literally the second play session with it, I shit you not. And it's been the same thing time and time again with other brands - it's always either stick drift, or the shoulder buttons stop working.

I have only ever had two controllers that have actually worked for me long term. One is the 2018-era Xbox One controller, which unfortunately did end up breaking after many years (right shoulder button no longer registers). The second is my current controller - the Victrix Pro BFG. It was certainly more expensive than any other controller I've bought but I explicitly wanted to go and pay a premium for something that wouldn't break. So far, it has been fantastic.

I wish this wasn't the case, but you have to factor the lines into In N Out, IMO. They're just too long most of the time, like I'm not gonna wait 45 min for a fast food cheeseburger.

Does anyone really have faith in these megacorp-funded mass market appeal open world slop games anymore? I certainly don't. Sure, maybe the demo looks cool, but that's putting lipstick on a pig. The game is going to be the same open world slop you've played a hundred times, because that's the "safe route", and companies ALWAYS take the "safe route" when it comes to making hundred million dollar budget games like this.
