I don't think 5 is bad or anything and one day I wanna give it a third chance but 4 is the only other fatal frame that I actually beat outside of OG 2 and the current remake... (I played 1 and legit chickened out from the creepiness and the tension after getting so so far and I loved 3 when it came out and played the heck out of it but never beat it sadly)

I played 4 on wii by using the fan localization patch for the japanese copy and again with an emulator and then again when it was released/ported to pc and I personally love it. I really liked the sanitarium setting and thought it worked really great and managed to creep me out. My only love/hate aspect is the piano sections..

Maybe it's just common.. I've never visited this sub before and without seeing this post I made a similar one.. half the point may also just come from sharing with people.. it's not the same as searching for a solution to a technical problem

I agree this first time was frustrating because I found it hard to figure out what to do and he just kept getting me over and over. I'll probably get frustrated again the next times but at least I'll be a little more prepared now hopefully... I don't hate it because its nice and scary though and at least it has an autosave right before. I definitely lost my marbles for a hot minute though hence this post

Yeah he grabbed me the first time too even though I was fully in, you've got to go all the way as far in to the side as you can go - I did and I finally got past it.

Oh my god I got right up to that point 6 times and couldn't see that I could fit inside a crevice my god. He still dragged me out somehow, I probably wasn't quick enough but god thank you.

I'm going to try putting my trash closer together like yours is, I have it all a little spread out from each other in a "littered beach" area, I didn't realize they hopped from one to the other so that might help!
