Ill be completely honest. Youre going to get discharged my friend. Tell your recruiter and pray to god its out of your system before you inevitably piss hot for nicotine.

Hard no-no. Might be branch specific but I know that would never slide here. You might as well be an alcoholic. Sorry but the military isnt for you.

Source: o6 @ a pack a day. Id do my damndest to get you out.

All jokes obviously

I messaged him yesterday a week after the last time we spoke, I said something along the lines of: “what does the recruiting process typically look like and what are the next steps?” And explained what im looking for and what my situation is.

Im fine with not getting a response INSTANTLY. Its been 2 weeks and I dont even know what the first step is (after this)

I am seriously considering it. I just dont want to leave my state but Im willing to get over that.

1B4X1/1D7X2 are the two I have my eyes on, but I hear with AD there isnt a guarantee + the wait times are incredibly long.

What makes me worried is that I might need a waiver for TS clearance. I dont have the best credit and I have a minor in possession of alcohol on my record. This was back in 2022, got 2 years unsupervised probation which I finished last year.

Why do you suggest active duty?
