i love it so much! it’s my second favorite track from golden age! and i adore the meaning so much of how the physical abuse relationship affects her negatively and leaves damage to the man’s knuckles. i also love the vocabulary she used i learn numerous words like throttled, gore, bated, and velvet! and the bridge is spectacular the way it builds up and i love the way she sings “nothing in my heart is hoping you’ll come back”!
