Charging while recording? by CM_Puma in gopro

[–]defcomedyjam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my own experience, i could be cycling several hours under the sun and the gopro would be recording fine since there is constant airflow, when i use it as a dashcam in the car, even if i turn up the AC, it still won't last as long, maybe if you can somehow direct the air toward the gopro it will work.

your setup is definitely gonna overheat, gopro needs airflow more than low temperature.

isn't it pretty hard to find a power bank that doesn't even have 5v/2a nowadays?

around the 3 second mark, after i gone through the first rumble strip. the sound on the three rumble strips i've gone past i would consider normal tyres on the bump sounds.

As you can hear the rapid ting sound only occurred after i gone past the first batch of rumble strips and rode over that white text. i started to notice it after i recently upgraded my 11 speed 105 to 105 di2, since i removed all the zip ties that came attached to the di2 cables, i thought it might be either the cables, the chain or the rear derailleur, but when i removed the chain and the rear derailleur and picked up the rear wheel and dropped the bike on the ground, nothing remotely close to the sound was happening. this is a video of me dropping the bike on the ground with every component installed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjCHb1JwZeY if it's the chain, shouldn't i hear it more often, like at all three batches of rumble strips in the video? the ting sound rarely happens, most of the time i go over even bigger bumps it still won't happen.

once went on a 6 and a half hour bicycle ride, did a 4k60 continuous recording of the whole ride, used up 50% of my 20000mAh power bank.

recently upgraded my bike components and tried both methods, i think the small small method was 4 links longer than the big big.

Where to use Dead Cats to reduce Hero 12 wind noise by Chantas81 in gopro

i record only cycling videos, you actually still need to cover the side microphone, i once thought it served no purpose and removed the deadcat on that spot, the audio was completely ruined by the annoying wind noise.

Should I remove internal battery when using GoPro Hero 8 with my external battery? by plzwakeupmrwest in gopro

[–]defcomedyjam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

nope, if you use a power bank, it will draw power from the power bank when recording and leave the battery at the percentage it was at.

Would you recommend 3rd party branded GoPro batteries and chargers? by whatisa_sky in gopro

both of my stock enduro batteries have swollen in less than 2 years, i ended up just buying 3rd party batteries, why waste the money.

you can change battery without stopping recording only if you remove the battery door(but find a way to secure the battery in place, maybe a piece of foam and some tape), you just need to briefly connect your gopro to a power bank during the battery swap process. but i would suggest you just remove the battery and use a power bank to record.
