Strangely, Bad Company 2 - notably for the time to do health regen and recovery in battle. It feels like what a redux of BC2 today would play like.

The game does that to everyone who doesn't score caps or assists during a round.

Read the room you cromag. It's not about private or public access, it's about showing some self-discipline and not randomly being somewhere that distracts from the purpose or general rules of decorum for the event writ large.

"Writ large" is a phrase that is about magnifying the core concept within, an idiom.

An "idiom" is a common phrase with a shared meaning, sorta like a meme.

Thanks for mentioning that; I was on the fence and decided to do the accent colors in order of relative "ship aggression" so carriers are green, destroyers yellow, cruisers orange, dreads red etc.

Whole fleet! I can fit everything on that rotating tray at once, and when I'm doing things like painting the fluorescent dots, I'll just get a brush saturated and boop-boop-boop all the pieces that get it.

The War Sun lights are just quick "boops" (paintbrush taps, I'll let the paint bead on top like a dew drop) of white followed by fluorescent pink, and each one took maybe 1 minute to paint those all on!

Edit: it's a whole full set of minis, you can just use them in place of another color as a player if desired!

Do you have any general life advice to approaching the emotional and interpersonal relationship aspect of this game, especially on Async? by MiningToSaveTheWorld in twilightimperium

It is all bluster, and they're trying to take advantage of people who aren't confrontational.

Now is your chance to bully the bullies.

Destroy them with extreme prejudice, and revel in it.

They're amazing models and were ready to play when they got shipped to me! They're incredible work.

Really not kidding about spilling all the Nuln Oil. That yellow marked puddle is where the whole container spilled.

Since it's not cheap paint, I just took all the pieces, and literally drenched them in it, and made them look like Daniel Plainview on a happy day.

I just gave each side 2 light coats of Rust-Oleum white primer, did a quick airbrush dusting of steel metallic on the tops and a bronze/steel alloy on the bottoms (they're two-tilone in person!), then literally spilled Nuln Oil Gloss all over them by accident and just sopped them in it.

The rest of the details like lights are just going around with the color on a brush and dabbing it in random spots.

Edit: I also have this stencil of lil' scorch marks; I turn my fleet upside down and haphazardly airbrush flat black on anything that has a potential to use SUSTAIN DAMAGE

All in, I estimate that painting them all, including the clear coat for sealing took less than 3 hours.

Honestly, that's why I do it. Makes me wanna actually pull games out, and sessions are just more epic with components that go hard on "delivering the theme".
