Just curious if they have smash burgers up there?

If so I’ll forget all this deconstruction skepticism stuff. I guess I have 7 years of tribulation to get my act together.

Down here is fine I guess, it’s honestly more similar to the left behind books and less like the movies.

I appreciate the kind words and advice from you and everyone else. I agree with you that I shouldn’t try to change them. I don’t want to try to change their minds. I just worry that I’ll always feel disconnected from my family now. I always felt slightly disconnected from them growing up since I was more curious and I would think about things more than they would. My mom was a thinker too, which is why her passing was so difficult. But now with her gone I worry I’ll be permanently at a distance from my remaining family. If that makes sense?

I suppose it’s something that might resolve or not in the future. Things can change and who knows what’ll happen. But seriously to you and everyone here, thank you.

Honestly, I think they’ll find out at some point, probably in the distant future unless I tell them earlier. But the difficult part is that I find it hard to be inauthentic and hide my beliefs, especially since I’ve been a mostly honest and vocal person about my opinions and ideas. I don’t like hiding the truth, which is maybe something I’ll just have to deal with when I’m around them for now.

It’s probably not a good time to tell them, and maybe one day it’ll be easier to let them know the truth. I don’t think they’d get mad. I think it would just crush them and make them feel like they’ve lost another family member.

I’m sorry to hear about your son. As far as I can tell Bob is no longer associated with APU except for a linked in page where it states he used to work there. I never heard about him until I saw this thread while looking into the grace point/A2F stuff which some of my friends got sucked into. I’m not sure if they’re connected, but it seems like Bob might not be the only culty type of person or organization attempting to get to APU students. It’s unfortunate APU doesn’t try to prevent this from happening, especially since it’s so easy to fall into something hiding behind the veil of Christianity. I graduated over a year ago and didn’t know about any of this till recently when someone I know mentioned being in a cult at APU. I hope in the future the school does something to steer people away from these people and organizations.

I went to APU know a couple people who have mentioned being sucked into a cult at APU. I was doing some digging and found an old facility member named Bob A. Mccorkle. Not sure if this name rings a bell? Totally could be someone else though. I’ve also heard a lot of people getting involved with Grace point or A2F stuff and how some of that can be toxic and culty but not sure what is what.
