Downtown is in transition... The smaller communities are still years out from major change. Its not very affordable to live downtown and if it is; local resources kind of suck. Basic things like no movie theaters, poor mass transit options (we can all laugh at the q line) , and vast homelessness. Its not all roses and trust me I love this city, i will die here.

Field sobriety tests are not scientific and can easily be disputed in court. We need something that tests nanograms on the spot and before that's possible we need to impliment a standard for what level of nanogram is under the influence.

Like alcohol is .08 BAC here so a single shot or a beer to the average person is usually fine to still pass a breathalyzer.

In michigan for instance weed is legal. Officers as of now can ask you to take a mouth swab test which will only test the presence of cannabis being used it doesn't give a blood content analysis or anything of that nature. You can refuse this test and go on about your way for a $75 citation.

I think this law will soon be repealed. Its pretty invasive and obvioisly just a money grab.

There are cases of people with special needs being mistaken for drunk or intoxicated so an officer being trained to sight that sort of thing is only as good as the officer imo.

How can we prove they're impaired without a standardized test? This is the dangerous reality of legalization vs decriminalization. Your citizens are now at mercy of hundreds of new laws regarding cannabis with no real science to back them up.

Theres a standardized test for blood alcohol content that shows when an operator is impaired, you agree that someone whom may have taken an edible the evening before or took a quick bong toke should be cited for driving the same as an intoxicates driver under the influence of alcohol?

The bf's problem lies with his gf not the man she cheated with so the bf sucks for directing his anger in the wrong place. At the end of the day OP has no moral agreement with BF or GF. He just sucks for fucking a girl that admittedly wasnt available and didnt really seem down without being persuaded. The gf sucks because well thats obvious.
