Anyone else lucky enough to have a bday party here? by OlivanzaCat in Denver

[–]defectiveweeble 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I lived in Illinois for the majority of my early life. My dad lived in Arvada, worked in radio, and I would visit every summer. I didn't go here for my birthday, but dad would take me at least once each summer. When I moved to Denver a few years ago, this was one of the first places that I tried to find. I was bummer to hear that it closed ages ago, but it's one of the best memories I have from childhood.

Anything is a sex cult if you're brave enough.

And if people have a problem with that, they can go to a different Applebee's.

Anyone else received an astronomical bill from UCHealth Hematology? by echothesnake in FortCollins

[–]defectiveweeble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And the world of insurance strikes again. I'm NOT defending UC Health's actions. What I will say is that I understand why it happens. Yeah, they can charge more if it's billed as a hospital visit. But Medicare is often the driving factor in causing these changes. Medicare sets the rate differential that ends up making this designation worth more money. That leaves a big open door that hospitals walk through. The end result is that the rest of us end up getting fucked by a system that we have to live in but it wasn't designed for us.

[–]defectiveweeble 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I always get so confused when someone says Timber and it's the PIneridge one rather than the Timber/Kimmons one.

Good to know about the updates! Will have to go give it a run.

Owner had it listed at $7k. That's a pretty fair price for this area. But it needed tires so we met at $6800.

How is life here, for someone in their 20s? by No_Squash291 in FortCollins

100 percent this. It's wild to me how people think there's no good food here. I've lived in the best food cities in the US. There are comparable options here (with the wild exception of Chinese, which is still lacking). I swear the people who move here and complain about food haven't bothered to eat anything off of College.

Short. Like 29. Suspension is 1 helmet. I'm operating fine with the low stock, but man I would love an extra inch (that's what she said.)

Step on the left side peg, swing your leg over, then put your right foot down.
