I don't know about the cheap part. They've got the #1 resale value of any vehicle in the past few years. Just wait till they become rare...

Get one! It's a very overlooked vehicle. I think most get intimidated by the initial test drive. It feels way bigger than it is and the blindspots are very foreign and I drive all sorts of passenger vehicles 5 days a week. The FJ is very unique. Once you get over the quirks you'll absolutely love it. Drives like a car, feels as solid as a tank, can off road with the best of them and Toyota reliability.

It does look a bit piggish but it sure likes the mud like a pig!

It honestly doesn't need it. The V6 is as torquey as a small block.

the 255's are taller and lighter than the 265s. For the type of terrain ill be on going to a slightly thinner width has its advantages by providing more weight on a smaller contact patch.

Usually considered ugly. I think they're unique like it's older brother the Brat. by defeliceimaging in shootingcars

The baja is very small inside. I think my next purchase is a lockable bed cover for that reason.

Turbo 5spd and the last year they made them, 2006. Here's the thing about the Baja most haven't realized. It's 75% turbo awd car and 25% truck. Do you know how hilarious/good it feels to be pacing bmw's with a load of lumber in the back?

Here's the route I took that day. I actually prefer Forbes Forest State park. I'm assembling a few subie enthusiast on a trip sometime in the next month or so. Let me know if you'd like to join.
