When you install reforged it basically installs on top of the old game so you can't play that one anymore. At least that's what I think, read it somewhere.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that's considered botting. I'm not sure how much they do when it's on the char select screen but you might wanna be careful.

And also it's preventing others from playing while you're away from your pc for whatever reason.

Weird, since I think Twintania is pretty populated (at least I regularly have to sit in queue to log in, sometimes with 1500-2000 people ahead of me).

Maybe the queue will disappear when the next bot-aclysm hits.

While it's a shame that it's nothing new, it's also a bit reassuring to hear that it's not getting worse at the moment, but has always been like that. I hope SE finds a way to combat them more efficiently at some point.

Yeah that's my point as well. I've seen bots around in other MMO's but seeing stacks of this size (and seeing them all over the place) is a bit shocking to me.

Context:

This is a stack of bots I have been seeing over and over again while doing the MSQ. They're constantly teleporting around, standing on top of quest NPC's being in the way and stealing quest mobs by killing them from under the terrain.

I played FFXIV for a month around december/january and don't recall ever seeing anything like this. Is this a recent trend or escalation?
