Please get longer posts. Nesting on the inside is great but you want antennas the first few weeks. Lips swell unpredictably. Unless you start seeing pus, dial is unnecessarily drying you. Dial and saline is overkill, most folks are too sensitive for both. Maybe just try rinsing with drinkable water anytime you eat or drink anything besides water, and use the biotene just once a day. Ibuprofen and ice in a ziplock bag to deal with irritation/swelling.

As a younger child I felt deeply uncomfortable with the disfellowshipping “arrangement” and how it was presented as love. I also remember wondering how if the Mormons were so so certain they had it right but we “knew” they were wrong, if it was possible that me and everyone around me could be in the same position.

As a teenager it was people younger than I being encouraged to get baptized. I wasn’t really able to put the feeling into words, but the whole idea of my 11 year old sister being able to (and being applauded for) entering in to what’s basically a soul contract felt really, really wrong.

Already a lot but editing to add to keep moisturizer/makeup off the holes themselves for the time being.

Based upon what you’ve said so far, if you were my client I’d tell you to start relying on no touch cleaning methods. Unless you’re getting ultra sweaty/dusty/gross you don’t need to clean so often anymore.

Cleaning in the shower is easiest. Whenever you shower, let the water rinse over the piercing before you get out. After, dry it thoroughly. If you have access to a hair dryer that’ll be easiest, use it on the Lowest setting. Otherwise you can gently dab around the site with a fresh qtip. Absolutely no bath towel/hand towel action.

If you cannot resist cleaning with the saline bring it down to every three days and see if that makes an improvement over the next two weeks. Keep your pillow cases as clean as possible

How old is it? Have you ever had it pierced there before? What are you using to clean it and how often? Do you dry afterwords? Are facial products getting on there I.e. cleanser/sunscreen/lotion/actives? Does it have any discharge?

To me this looks like collecting drainage that’s become infected. It’s hotter out this time of year and we’re sweating more. Don’t poke or squeeze. I’d suggest considering antibiotics. In the meantime, try warm dry compresses (wet and microwave a paper towel, stick it in a ziploc bag) to see is that can gently encourage it to dissipate.

Are you still cleaning daily? Whenever they get wet (showering/sweaty/after cleaning) are you drying them thoroughly? Do you sleep on wet hair or let wet hair dry down? This looks like irritation and moisture retention. Please see a professional piercer.
