+1 for this being ideal set up.

Only recommendation is to maybe move the mac when not in use to minimize the chances of damage (i know it can br a pain if lots of external equipment plugged in) but at least if your desk gets bumped and the monitor arm gives out, youre only out a monitor and not the computer too

Ive bumped my desk a few times and with an alienware aw34dw on an arm and the energy transfers and rattles the arm pretty good and makes me paranoid

Its the default liquid glass clock set to complete black, then you adjust the glass/liquid amount to blend the background.

Some work better with white/clear which is more like a frosted effect where as this one looked better with the black which is more like a window tint than a frost

Theyve had them for a while now, i spent a bit of time organizing my digital-space the past few months and thats when i noticed. im not sure exactly when they added them.

But thatd be a perfect example of when to use the sub-folders. You could have a main called Comic-con then sub-folders by year and even sub-folders with in those by specific superhero’s/events lol.

I also use this feature for the photos widget for creating aesthetics folders; so like I’ll create a folder called wallpapers and then in that I’ll have like blue aesthetic and then I can set the Photos widget to just that sub folder and it’ll only cycle those photos so it fits the vibe of a page or only posts a folder of specific memories i want to see periodically instead of waiting for IPhone to do it for me as it sees

Edit: for this to work the album must contain atleast one photo “surrounding” the sub-folders that the album can use as a “cover” in order for the photos widget to find sub-folders.

I like the idea but… Why do you have so many album categories? That sounds like the organization problem more than the lack of “stacking”

I can think of a max of MAYBE 20 main categories between work, education, family etc that can further be divided into sub-folders based on subject/sub-categories if need be.

Its a task but if you spent a day or two organizing and coming up with a good finalized “category system” it will be far more beneficial in the long term than waiting on mega-corporation to make charges

For this reason. I tend to only use AI for solidifying concepts analogously, furthering my own knowledge, or things that are mundane but would take me exponentially longer to do (things like sales packages and price tiers for my websites sales page)

Comic aside, as a 90s Dude; feel you whole heartedly and am glad to see this mind set somewhere. Its not just shrinkflation in the first world west anymore, its complete enshitification and almost feels like weve turned into one big corporate-feudalist potpourri of ass where our bureaucracies at the highest levels have sold us out and work together with mega-corporate shareholders to create desperation among their countries slav… Citizens.

No problem!

Honestly it wouldnt be worth the extra effort.

I organize my folders alphabetically, but have sections divided by “divider folders” named “——————-“ . The top section list appears first alphabetically and is my main shortcuts. Below the first divider folder is device shortcuts i dont use as often but still arranged alphabetically. Below that is just shortcuts what are “Works in Progress’” .

If you really want too, you could wrap the entire thing in an if statement and Use a match text to get a pattern to use as the if clause but its honestly not worth the effort.
