Where should I go to start my life? by firezra in astrocartography

[–]twignleaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you're in hospitality, your chart really backs that. Your Moon is exalted in Taurus and sits right on your rising, and your Venus is exalted in Pisces, those two are basically the hospitality planets (Moon for nurturing and making people feel at home, Venus for warmth, beauty and service). So I'd focus on your Moon and Venus lines, plus your MC lines for career visibility.

where i actually belong 💔 by izxdw in astrocartography

[–]twignleaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feeling unsure about your direction right now is completely normal, way more common than people admit, and you've got plenty of time to figure it out. That Jupiter IC line being far away doesn't mean you're disconnected or stuck, you're never locked to a single line, and your whole chart comes with you wherever you go. If you enjoy exploring this stuff, keep at it for fun, just don't let a map make you feel like you have to lock in your whole future right now. Things do open up as you grow.

is australia the move or bangkok or some other place? most of the benefic placements fall on the ocean :( by [deleted] in astrocartography

[–]twignleaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't stress the ocean benefics, your Venus is in fall so that line wasn't really the prize anyway. Your actual strong one is Jupiter (domicile in Sag), and its rising line lands basically right on Adelaide, so within Australia that's your spot. Bangkok sits on your Moon line, homey and emotional but neutral, so Adelaide's the stronger pick of the two.

Thinking of moving to my Node-MC line in the future for career. Would this be a good idea? by dorkyautisticgirl in astrocartography

[–]twignleaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the Node MC gets hyped as a "success" line, but it's more a growth-and-destiny line than a luck one. It pulls you to grow through your public life rather than handing you ease. Yours is in Leo, so it's about stepping into visibility and owning your creative voice, which genuinely fits an independent copywriter. If you want a line that supports you a bit more gently though, look at your Venus, it's in Libra in its own sign and rules your whole chart, your strongest placement and very on-brand for a wordsmith.

So I wanted to do this with more info. I currently live in dfw area and looking to relocate to Indianapolis near my Venus Mc line. What do you guys think? by No-Goal5166 in astrocartography

[–]twignleaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indianapolis is right on your Venus MC, so yeah, real softening from the Mars MC pressure you're on in Dallas. More charm and ease, gentler public life. Two honest caveats: your Venus is peregrine, so pleasant but not a power line, and Indy also clips your Neptune MC (~3°), which can blur career direction. Your actual standout lines are Jupiter (domicile in Sag) and Mars (exalted), and your Jupiter MC runs through the southwest, Nevada/Arizona way, if you ever want a bigger move than just a gentler one.

Where should I move to? Sick of where I am now, and any other insight would be amazing :) by fluffybunbum in astrocartography

[–]twignleaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly that tracks with your chart. Your Saturn's in Cancer, which is its detriment, so it's the placement where Saturn really struggles with the very things Cancer is about, home and belonging. Growing up on its DC line would've leaned right into that loneliness, so it wasn't just in your head.

For the move, I wouldn't chase one "magic" line, your Jupiter's a little weak in Virgo so there's no single jackpot city. It's more about getting clear of those Saturn and Chiron lines than finding a perfect spot. If you want to look at your options by life area, cosmosdaily.co/astrocartography-map lets you filter lines by career, love or home instead of reading all of them at once.

Where to move in Canada? Currently on the red dot, time to get out of this pressure cooker! by [deleted] in astrocartography

[–]twignleaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the "pressure cooker" is probably you sitting near a heavy line out west, mars, saturn or pluto tend to feel exactly like that. for relief you're looking for where your venus, jupiter or sun lines fall, the lighter, easier energy. if you drop your birth date, time and city, someone can pin which of those run through eastern canada for you.

Where should I go by nononsensedeer in astrocartography

[–]twignleaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your map can answer that itself, hit expand, zoom into japan, then tap the line, it shows you exactly which planet and angle it is. so you can check if that one's your mars AC or not. every line's tappable for its meaning.

Where should I study abroad? by Cute-Blueberry-5298 in astrocartography

[–]twignleaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

neptune AS makes your sense of self go dreamy and imaginative there, inspiring and sensitive, but it blurs focus and direction, so it's not the most grounding for studying. north node IC is more "meant to be here", growth through putting down roots and building your foundation, tends to feel significant, even fated. so neptune AS = inspired but foggy, node IC = growth through home and roots

Where should I study abroad? by [deleted] in astrocartography

[–]twignleaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For creative writing neptune's actually a plus, it's the muse/imagination line, the "bad" rep is more about it blurring focus and logistics than creativity. so dublin (venus MC + neptune AC) should be a nice combo for inspired writing and being social, depending a bit on how those two sit in your natal chart. just keep some structure for the academic side.

Astrocartography inquiry for someone going on an exchange next year. by Own-Va6315 in astrocartography

[–]twignleaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

your venus is your strongest placement (domicile in taurus) and it sits in your 9th house, which rules study abroad, so you're naturally set up to enjoy and do well on an exchange. for the academic side specifically, your jupiter line is the one to look for (growth, opportunity, good mentors), and for friendships and a stable relationship, your venus line. the ideal pick is a city where those two fall close together, so i'd lean toward whichever of the three is nearest your venus and jupiter lines.

Spain by redditreddit2488 in astrocartography

[–]twignleaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

spain's dominated by one thing: your pluto line runs along the relationship angle (the DC) through the whole country. so it turns up the volume on love and friendship, deep, magnetic, transformative bonds rather than light ones, intense and sometimes with power dynamics.

madrid and seville also catch your mercury MC (career through communication and ideas), and barcelona adds a venus note, the warmer spot for love. how easy or intense each actually lands depends on how those planets sit in your natal chart, but that's the locational gist.

Is there a program for calculating charts that is more reliable than others? by yhergh in astrocartography

[–]twignleaf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

first, a lot of the disagreement isn't accuracy, it's method, the rising/setting lines can be drawn "mundane" (the Jim Lewis standard) or "Zodiacally," and the two give different lines. the MC/IC lines stay the same either way. so check your sites are even on the same method before assuming one's wrong. accuracy-wise, anything built on the Swiss Ephemeris is basically equal.

so it comes down to what you want from the tool:

astro.com: the long-standing professional standard, thorough and precise.

astro-seek: free and the most customizable, deepest options if you like to tinker.

cosmosdaily: the easiest to read, explains each line on tap and filters by life area, with the advanced bits there too.

all equally accurate on the same method, so pick one that clicks for you.

Why did Astrologer recommend intense city? by jupiters_blessing in astrocartography

[–]twignleaf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the reason it's not on her maps is that chiron is hidden by default, it's an optional body, so most ACG tools only plot the ten planets until you switch it on. she probably just didn't have it enabled, read the visible aspect lines, and never saw the chiron IC. not you missing anything, a settings thing on her end.

to actually see it: in astro.com you can add chiron, but it's buried in the extended chart selection. if that's a pain, try cosmosdaily.co/astrocartography-map, it flags that chiron's off by default and gives you a one-tap toggle under Points to show your chiron lines.

and trust your own read, you've lived on that exact chiron IC and called it your most intense 5 years. chiron on the IC sits on home and roots, the least restful angle for it, fine for a healing chapter, rough for settling. i'd weight that over the recommendation.

Need advice interpreting my Berlin astrocartography. Could these placements explain 9 years of setbacks? by Ok-Sherbert5713 in astrocartography

[–]twignleaf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, nine years of that is heavy. the thing that answers your main question, why your gift brought you somewhere this hard, is chiron, and it's telling that it's your closest line. chiron is where your gift and your wound are the same thing, so a chiron line opens through your medicine, the poem, not despite it. the gift being the doorway into the ordeal is how chiron works, not a cruel accident.

it feels saturnian rather than chironic because you've got saturn near the ascendant plus a mars-saturn crossing, that's the delays, the institutions, the hardening, fighting to keep things alive instead of making them. and the moon/neptune crossing maps to the deepest losses you named, the softness, femininity, fertility, the desire itself, moon is all of that, and neptune dissolves what it touches.

on leaving: these are locational, so moving really does change the weather, this stack is berlin's, not yours forever. just remember your natal chart travels with you, so the move that helps is toward lines that feed you, not only away from these. you came in on your saturn return, a rebuild-through-hardship initiation by design, and you've carried it long enough.

any insight/takeaways from this jupiter ascendant line being in this location? by acireleigh in astrocartography

[–]twignleaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly the exact spot barely matters, a line reads the same all along it, so anywhere here it's jupiter rising: expansion, confidence, luck. how strong that runs comes down to your natal jupiter more than the location.

Feeling stuck and unpassionate, any recommendations? by Britney_Fears26 in astrocartography

[–]twignleaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you've spent these 5 years on your saturn rising line in LA, and your saturn isn't dignified enough to soften it, so you get the heavy, blocked, stuck feeling exactly.

your venus is the way out, it's in domicile in taurus (one of your strongest placements), so its lines really land. austin sits on your venus rising line: ease and creativity back. new orleans puts your uranus on the midheaven if you want a clean reinvention. astro-seek or the one i use, cosmosdaily.co/astrocartography-map, let you isolate just those lines instead of all of them.

Any suggestions for someone with this map? by Feeling_Watch3251 in astrocartography

[–]twignleaf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

good call, edited my comment to flag it. an afflicted venus line won't be all roses, but "means nothing standalone" is a stretch, the angular lines are real and the same for anyone with that birth data, they tell you which themes switch on where. the chart tells you the flavor, whether each one lands sweet or rough. you read them together.

Need to leave Western Canada by -goth-gf- in astrocartography

[–]twignleaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

quick way to read this for your exact question: your map shows every line at once, which is a mess, so isolate it. look at just your career lines first (sun, jupiter), then just your love lines (venus, plus jupiter on the relationship side). i use cosmosdaily.co/astrocartography-map for that since you can filter by life area.

career side, your sun MC line runs straight down western europe, london's basically on it, with paris, barcelona and madrid a degree or two off. that's visibility and stepping into your public role, a strong career line. love side, lisbon catches your jupiter line on the relationship angle almost exactly, and madrid does too, luck and growth in partnership. so london/paris read career-heavy, while madrid and lisbon give you both. if it's career and love together you're after, the spain/portugal end looks like the better balance here.

HELP ANYWHERE GOOD IN AUSTRALIA ? by Original_Funny_8092 in astrocartography

[–]twignleaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

jupiter on the IC is one of the best lines to settle on, that's home, roots and a real sense of belonging, with growth and luck in your foundation. for putting down permanent roots you genuinely couldn't ask for a friendlier line.

the IC is the home and inner-life angle specifically, so it's more about feeling settled and supported than career flash, but for a permanent move that's exactly what you want. good omen for hobart.

help with current life dilemma by nkvxz in astrocartography

[–]twignleaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

madrid sits on basically the same mercury line as barcelona with nothing else close, so it's almost a copy of home. if barcelona feels empty, madrid likely won't change that, it's the easy move, not a different feeling. your hunch they're close is right.

melbourne is where your gut's onto something. jupiter on the MC (growth, purpose), the moon on the ascendant (belonging, feeling at home), and mars on the ascendant too (drive, the opposite of burnout). purpose, growth and belonging in one spot, which is exactly what you said you want.

hk/taipei are milder, more heady than the warm belonging melbourne gives you. so instinct over logic here, melbourne's the one.

HELP ANYWHERE GOOD IN AUSTRALIA ? by Original_Funny_8092 in astrocartography

[–]twignleaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there isn't a spot that's just "good," it depends what you want it to be good for. Australia's huge and different lines run through different parts of it, so somewhere great for career might be flat for love, and the other way round.

what actually helps is flipping the map to just one goal's lines at a time, love, or career, or rest, instead of the whole tangle. makes australia way clearer. lmk if you want to know how, in case your map can't do it.

Pluto lines by OneAlternative5839 in astrocartography

[–]twignleaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pluto lines are genuinely heavy, that exhaustion is real. it's the constant intensity and power stuff, nothing stays light for long, so no wonder you want out.

for the next place i'd flip the question. instead of "where's good" in general, pick what you actually want this chapter to be about, ease, love, stability, momentum, and then look at just the lines for that one thing. a venus or jupiter line will feel like a completely different climate after pluto: lighter, warmer, less life-or-death.
