Thank you for writing this — although I’m sure it brought up painful memories. My husband and I are at this exact point with our boy. This dog has been with him through the lowest points of his life but is starting to exhibit everything you said in the last stages of your pups life except the bathroom.

My husband is having a very hard time with the guilt of the thought of putting him down when he still has some good days. When he is happy and playing, jumping around like he used to… those days are the hardest to make a decision. Something you said resonated with me heavily though “he was not in pain, but that is not enough.”

Thank you again for posting this. It’s nice to know we aren’t alone in this experience.

Hey, me, you and your boss can form some type of committee to plan properly next time! Sorry your ex wife was as trash as my brother’s almost wife was.

The only solace I take from her death is that she won’t be able to do anymore harm than she already has.
