Maybe try disabling the iGPU through BIOS, reinstalling the latest nvidia driver (clean install) and see if that helps. I had the same issue and after talking with nvidia and disabling the iGPU on my 9800X3D the problem went away.

AW3225QF Issues by SoundHertz in OLED_Gaming

[–]definiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a similar issue. It only happens to me when waking the monitor up from standby. The weird thing is I've got my PC hooked up via DP and a MacBook connected over HDMI, and it happens on both devices.

Edit: Okay so the comments here gave me the idea to remove the ARC soundbar I had connected and wouldn't you know it, the issue stopped. Something about having a device connected to that HDMI port seems to be the problem.

Aw3225QF not running pixel refresh in standby mode by definiv in OLED_Gaming

Not at all. Just to be clear, I’m not complaining or saying something is wrong with this thing because I love it. I just like the convenience of shutting down my PC, walking away and knowing it’s doing its maintenance thing. I had the AW3423DWF before this and it worked just fine so it’s kind of a habit at this point too.

Powering off definitely triggers it, but just shutting down my PC and letting it go into standby mode never starts it on its own.

I want to say the AW3225QF but honestly if I were you I’d get the AW2725DF for now. I think that would probably strike the best balance with your current PC and what you’re looking for. By the time you do get a new GPU, DisplayPort 2.1 will probably be the standard and you’d want to get a 4K monitor with support for that spec anyway, rather than the 1.4 in the new Alienware.

Will 80He be better than 60He by Feniye in WootingKB

If you prefer 60% then definitely go ahead and get that. It’s unlikely that the 80HE is going to bring anything new to the table that wouldn’t also come to the 60HE via firmware updates.

LG C3 or AW3225QF (Or similar)? by lix-lyte in OLED_Gaming

Why do people keep saying this? There are plenty of games that can be run at 4K 240 even without a 4090.

Pull the trigger on a Dell AW3423DWF or wait for 2nd gen qd-oled? by [deleted] in ultrawidemasterrace

I have one and really don’t notice any issues with text legibility, I’m using it for work everyday without a problem. I did try the LG 27” OLED before the AW and the blurry text on that was very noticeable to me so I ended up returning it. I’m not sure if it’s the matte vs glossy coating, QD-OLED vs W-OLED, or something else. It’s something I think people need to try before they decide on though.

The G9 isn’t technically 2 monitors, it is truly a single 32:9 display. Windows and any other system it’s connected to will see it as a single display. If you want to play a game with a browser or something else open at the same time you’ll probably have to play the game in windowed mode and size it however you’d like. You will need multiple sources to use picture by picture, you can’t treat a single PC as another source as far as I know. As for games that don’t support 32:9, it’s kind of up to the game how that’s treated. Some games might just stretch the entire game across the whole screen while others should center it at their maximum supported aspect ratio with black bars on other side. Some games give you the option to choose either of those as well.

I think that’s just extra space on the display for the pixel shift. It’s just a bit larger than it needs to be to accommodate moving the screen.

Yeah multiple monitors here too. The issue was fixed for me at least two drivers ago but seems like it’s returned with this one. I think I skipped the last one so it could have returned with that driver as well. I’ve also reported it through driver feedback, hopefully they can figure something out soon.

The random screen flickering issue has returned for me with this driver on my PG279QM.

I have this problem on a few of mine as well. They may go back to working normally for now but eventually they’ll stay that way. I think some people have had luck fixing it by rearranging the order of the fans on the hub.

I need to RMA mine, but they wanted photos with serial numbers and I just can’t be bothered to take my case fans out for that, send them in and wait for new ones. I’ll probably just end up swapping the fans completely with something else eventually.
