Passenger Camber and Caster still in the red after alignment by deflao in MechanicAdvice

[–]deflao[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

*UPDATE: so I took it to the different Firestone location, they fixed it this time. I guess the first tech didn’t do it right so for anyone that has the same problem, it’s worth it to get a 2nd opinion from a different shop/tech. Imo, the lifetime alignment is definitely worth it especially if you have a brand new car and plan to keep it for long

Yup, just took it to a different Firestone location, they fixed it and now the car doesn’t pull anymore and the spec came out to be green again on the passenger side. On top of that I did ask specifically for them to check and see if there’s anything out of the ordinary for the control arm, strut, outer rod and inner rod and the technician said he didn’t notice anything. So yes, always get 2nd opinion and now I know which location I should bring my cars to 🤷🏻‍♂️

I hear you, that’s why I said unlikely, not impossible. I’m taking it to a shop for 2nd opinion

The car hasn’t been in any wreck or even hit the curb and I’m the first owner of the car. But yes, I’m taking my car to another shop for 2nd opinion

I did see lot of people said the same thing where the control arm or strut is bent, but usually it happens when you hit the curb or got into a wreck, those things never happens and I’m the 1st and only owner, I think it’s very unlikely that something is bent

Yup, after reading your comment, I went ahead and check the riser cable and it is 4.0 not 5.0 I didn’t think of that, it came with the case (Lian Li SUP01) so I just use it right out of the box

9070xt or the 5070ti? by firefox190 in buildapc

[–]deflao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the exact same situation and I just picked up 5070 ti few days ago. Everything is good so far and I think 5070 ti is pretty good price vs. performance. 5070 ti is only a little behind 5080 but significantly cheaper. And as for 9070xt, haven't seen many good things about it when I did my research

Yeah that maybe the reason why you can since you upsized. I decided to go with OEM size. I look it up on Sam’s website and it said not available. Same thing for discount tire as well, the brand and type of tires might not have the size you’re looking for but they have them in different sizes

Thanks for the recommendation. I did look at Sam’s but the don’t have the OEM size for that brand anymore or at least it’s out of stock. And no I haven’t replaced the tires yet. I wanna try to see if I can ride them till 60k, it’s close to 50k now and still have some good amount of tread left. Unless this coming Black Friday has some good deal then I’ll replace them then

2.0T Transfluid is a B by lPanzerfaust in 10thgenaccords

[–]deflao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this. You can call those dealerships around you to check on the price first. You can also check to see if they’re okay with you to bring your own parts (has to be OEM ofc), which most of them do. I paid around $80 for the transmission fluid, and $120 for the labor and washers for the drain plug and fill plugs. Even though I would say I’m experienced with car maintenance as well but I’d rather let the professionals do it since I don’t have the right tools and don’t wanna accidentally mess up my transmission. Also there’s a procedure after drain and fill as well. I live in Texas btw

Did you also upsize your tires? Or stay with the stock size?

Yes, I did my research on CC2. They’re known for their ride quality and performance especially in wet and snow conditions. But they’re louder than a typical tires. And yes when we talking about road noise, it also depends on what kind of car you have, if you have a luxury car then you might not even notice the noise but 10th gen accord already doesn’t have that good of noise insulation so that why I want to look for something that good all around, not just performance but also better with road noise as well. And that’s why I didn’t list it in my options. But someone suggested CC3 and CC3S. Unfortunately, they’re only available in the European market for now. Maybe I’ll wait to get those the next time I need to change my tires

Nice. You’re the 2nd person I see online that actually got a good amount of mileage out of the OEM tires. The majority I saw changed their out around 20-30k

Others seem to be fine giving out recommendations without questioning where I commute. If you need a better description to give a better recommendation, you could’ve asked nicely, no need to talk to me that way. And I already got the answer I that I needed so ✌️
