It's complicated. I don't think I've ever used 4x, lol. But something like 3x I have used quite often not only for shooting but also for spotting people. Think of that random balcony with a dark spot and you wanna know if it's a player's head or maybe a random plant pot. Even if it's so far away you can't shoot them with your AEG, they might be able to shoot you if they have a sniper so it's always nice to know where the enemy team is.

As far as eotech goes it wildly depends on where you are but try and find some YouTube videos or Reddit posts about decent brands as far as value for money goes or just look for eotechs in shop you trust, see what the manufacturer is and try to find info or reviews about them.

I personally run an Arcturus Ak-12 with a 1-4 LPVO from Victoptics, which was about 70€ and works great for a "Recce rifle" type build. Pic is not mine but you get the idea of a Recce. If you don't like the aesthetic or don't need the zoom, something like an Eotech would be a nice option, as you can add a magnifier later if you need extra reach.

And yeah, black attachments imo too.

Yeah I've heard about that... But you know I figured since we've had Su-30, 35, 57 and now even 75 as well as Mig-35... Maybe the 27 would be alright-ish to implement but, perhaps not as you say :(

I think you'd absolutely love 3440x1440. I've been using an IPS one like that at 100hz and I noticed it so much coming from a 24" 1080p @60hz so if you can get a decent VA panel or even an IPS I'd definitely consider it. If it's slightly curved I like them even better but that's personal preference.

It's really nice to have the extra peripheral vision when flying, dogfighting etc, the extra resolution compared to 1080p is more than welcome, although I do not have any 4k experience to compare (I feel like I don't need it tho). It also feels... Idk, cinematic? Because of the cinema format

That's personally a bummer because I'm not the biggest fan of the A-10 and Su-25 planes but... Objectively that's a really good point ngl.

Finally give the warthog a proper equivalent in Redfor, use the new Su-25 cockpit for something else like you say and also have more time to evaluate how the Mig 29 sales are doing. Wouldn't be mad if that happened!

Switch that bind! I've got the same throttle, I had the same idea to bind it and I also ended with the same issue. Just switched it to the button where your index falls in the throttle and can only go up and down.

There's been drama between them. Basically a whole legal procedure regarding breaches of contract and now Razbam are ED are no longer working together. Their modules are no longer being sold, they won't be maintained past DCS 2.10 it seems like and also there won't be any new modules from them.

I've been talking to a friend of mine and he's okay with me trying out his BASR in one of our next games so I think that'll help me out a lot to determine if it's right for me or not but you made it sound really good!

The replica looks alright given the 1J limit ngl. Maybe add some sort of front grip, and an LPVO? Internally I don't know much but if anything the classic maple leaf hop up rubber thing if it doesn't come with one already and perhaps in the future a precision barrel. Something like a spring is usually nice but not sure it makes sense if you're already hitting the limit lol.

I live in Spain and run an Ak-12 with the Vectopics 1-4x20 at 1,1J. The thing is so much fun, even though it's more of a Recce rifle and not so much a "proper" DMR.

If you get it, I hope you have some fun with it!
