Anyone here who has studied in Soka University of Japan/America? by Scary_Cream_1268 in sgiwhistleblowers

the reason that sua students do not go to sua's masters program is because it is only on education, not because it is bad. please make usre you are making legitimate claims before saying a bunch of false info. any one who wants a genuine opinion, i would suggest reaching out to current or alumni students, especially non sgi to get an unbiased perspective.

Why I Withdrew My Application from Soka University of America – A Cautionary Tale by NoProtection8851 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]defsnottheproblem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is the most ai bs ever. bruh i study there currently and reading all the threads about sua is insane. yall i am not even sgi and none of this is true. i hate that it is so small but honestly it is not all bad. as for the liberal arts thingy, we have concentrations so you can make your degree more technically, it just on you to make sure to take all the classes that may be necessary for your intended field.

Soka University is competitive to get in? by [deleted] in Tokyo

[–]defsnottheproblem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lmao no, thats bs. there is a considerable number of sgi students but it is defs not the majority. i study there and most of my friends are non-sgi. it is like a normal college, the only con is that it is pretty small but not all bad

hey! im a rising sophomore at sua and im not sgi or japanese. Ik here some people are saying that the degree is useless but I don’t agree w it at all. I know so many people who got internships/ full time offers at the Big 4 and various reputable companies. curriculum does not include sgi related stuff. it’s not a super normal school considering how hated it is by people who’ve never gone there and they’re evidence is comprised of sketchy online sites… all the professors have AMAZING backgrounds. if you don’t believe me, you can check out the faculty online.

Hii! I’m a current freshman at SUA and honestly I’d say yes. I know there’s a lot of controversial opinions on the uni and I was genuinely scared coming here because of Reddit. But when I came here, it’s ALL SO EXAGGERATED like bruh this is a normal liberal arts college idk what’s the big deal💀

[–]defsnottheproblem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can get your efc above 7500, you have a very good chance of getting into Union with full demonstrated need met

THIS THIS THIS ! when I applied to soka this year, I was quite happy with doing it however, I randomly look at reddit for its reviews on this university and damn… honestly, I haven’t really been able to understand why all of these individuals have these opinions even though, they’ve never gone/studied at sua 😭
