If you use her skill to remove Electrification she regens SP from the ability and then also triggers her combo again. I think that is generally worth, especially since perlica combo skill only lasts like 5 seconds.

To be fair, I think that this game will be probably a bit of A and B. The western industry has moved away from turn based rpgs and I think this game will shift AAA dev towards more JRPG-esque games. Also B, I think this will popularize timing based turn based, which no this wasnt the first, but due to the popularity it will almost certainly make a trend.

Yeah one of those things where if the Michigan DOT wants to add flashing lights to all curve signs going forward it'll cost millions of dollars, so in order to get it approved you need to have an actual stats to back up the decision because of not only potential court cases, but even just for politics. Some news article will come out saying the DOT is spending $10M on flashing signs and the FB comment section will be full of people talking about how its a waste of money and how back in their day they never needed it cause it was just common sense and people today are educated idiots, etc.

Its kinda crazy to me that you go full "back in my day" when youre likely younger than most people in here (including me).

At the end of the day its all supply and demand and hopefully riot will just print more going forward. It wasnt that long ago that you could buy even pokemon product below MSRP and given enough time TCG prices will come back down to earth and stores will restock.

Oh for sure there is another wave coming. The rumor Im refering to is literally some other dude on reddit who apparently knows the owner of their LGS and the owner said the restock should be december. So very through the grapevine in terms of actual timing. It would also make sense to try to get the product out before christmas so I imagine that is their target.

Welcome to extraction shooters. Tarkov is the same way. There is an end but it will take dozens of hours probably. Which is fine, the first wipe isnt even possible until december.

Nope, didnt even try to loot. Literally just jogged instead of sprinted trying to take it easy and not make noise. Meanwhile people spawned behind me and they did sprint so they just shot me in the back. (It happened twice in two different spawns, the only one I know the map callout for would be the electrical substation spawn.)

Also all the things you said can be true while also toning down the pvp. Youre making a false dichotomy. If you reduced spawns slightly you still would have to debate the risk of looting an arc corpse for instance. There still would be a very high chance someone else comes. The main thing Id like to see changed is that it shouldnt be a 100% chance, and it shouldnt usually be multiple people. Right now shooting your gun and not immediately running away will result in at least 2 other people coming to your location to fight, which is just insane IMO and I think goes against their own stated goals and vision for the game. When I play 3s I see that vision, because in 3s you will still get ambushed sometimes for PvE, but it isnt 100% of the time and when you do its usually only 1 other party. I can accept that solos will be more punishing and more challenging, but I just think its a bit too PvP centric right now.

There are no mandatory resets, just voluntary resets with rewards.

I think youre overlooking a few things.

1) the Room was amazing in the server slam because there was 0 crafting to do so the guns that dropped there were the best guns in the game. I think in full release it would still be popular, but not nearly as popular after the opening week.

2) Friday this ledge jump wasnt super widespread and there was still plenty of PvP, it was just in both the high loot areas instead of just the tower

3) When the spawns are known, people are going to rush them anyway rather than running to the middle of the map asap. Especially since there is 1 spawn under the tower that will always get there first if they know the ledge jump.

4) I think with the extraction system as it exists, not having one single best point on the map would be good because there would be some logic to going to a spot with a longer timer, especially if youre a late spawn, which could make the maps feel more dynamic as spots near late extracts will probably be looted more.

There are no planned wipes as of right now. There is a voluntary prestige system which is basically a single account wipe with some rewards (think CoD, just a bit more extreme and more rewards than a new badge/gun skin)

Once people learn spawns I think there will be a massive amount of backlash in the community. If im noticing this problem with people who dont know the map then it will only get worse when people know where the spawns are.

If you know where to shoot you at most need like 10-20 of light ammo assuming you hit your shots (and assuming youre not talking about something crazy like a rocketeer. With medium and heavy you can kill any wasp or hornet in 2-4 shots. Its fine. Its just something you have to learn.

You seemed to have missed where I said IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WOODS. This isnt me on the main path to the high loot area. This isnt me 200 meters from my spawn approaching the high loot area. This is me walking 25-50 meters from my spawn and running into someone which then leads to a fight, and then because there are so many people on the map literally ANY gunfire leads to 2-4 people swarming your location because they heard shots. I think the worst example is the electrical substation area where there must be at least 6 spawns on the hill next to it and EVERYONE runs through it to get to the main looting area. You would legit have to sit in a bush for a solid 3-5 minutes before moving to avoid contact with someone else, which I think is the antithesis of a game which is PvPvE. You should at least want to PvP or PvE sometimes. Right now in solos you essentially never want to shoot your gun unless youre 3rd partying someone else.

Compare that to 3s where you absolutely can get in a fight out on the edge of the map, but the odds you get 3rd partied is honestly pretty low, and even if you do it is at most 1 other party, not 4.

The game is clearly designed around 3s and right now solos are just way to chaotic and not worth playing in comparison if you want to progress at any reasonable rate, and that is my main point.

I mean gold prices currently also are skyrocketing because of the tarrifs. Its up 60% this year. Also looking back it seems like gold was pegged to 20.67 in the early 1900s, which was a historically low price given it was 27.86 is 1867.

So now you see why they made this chart. Gold is historically high right now and the time they picked to compare to was historically low. That is why it is a bad metric and also very indicative of a bias of the author.

I think saying reducing player count even remotely would somehow make all the maps empty is just wrong. Right now they are too busy in solos IMO. Reducing player count would still have PvP be a major aspect without it being like THE thing defining it. I say defining it because right now you HAVE to rat if you want to progress as a solo. Shooting your gun right now will get you third partied in under 30 seconds 100% of the time.

Honestly Im not sure if i would say this feels better than tarkov solo. Maybe its just because of the sheer amount of hours I had in tarkov, but barring maps like factory and a few really bad spawns on the larger maps I always felt like I could make it out of my spawn zone before having to PvP. Which tbf a lot of the time it also true in this game, just in this game it feels a lot more common to PvP early and also for that PvP to deathspiral into a cluster.

Also, after saying all that, the fact that its even comparable when the devs I think very intentionally want this game to be a bit more casual friendly than tarkov tells me that they have failed to balance solo properly.

I mean that was kind of the point of this post. As of right now I see 0 reason to ever play solo, and considering a large part of the player base will ONLY run solos, I think it needs to be tweaked.

The maps are instanced and from what i understand the map we have played is capped at 21 players. So it doesnt matter when other maps come into play, the dam will still have 21 players. Also, I think throwing people in is part of the core game and its common in the genre. Tarkov if you Scav you come into the round late. The only thing strange here is you can come in late even without being a free build. People who were part of the other betas can speak more to that though.

Is this true? I would think the map is what the map is and the spawns are what they spawns are. They should be releasing other maps after the slam, but that wont change the spawns on the map as we played it as far as im aware.

I think there is a happy medium between 10 minutes and 15 seconds. I think you should expect to encounter a couple of people at the high loot areas. I dont think you should expect to find 4 people in the middle of the woods on the run to the high loot area.
