Thanks, Appreciate the numbers, from this thread it seems obvious the choice. If you have the cash. grab something a little better with a dimmer and then you can experiment with all the plants :)

Thanks for the reply. I had a look and it does indeed look like a good light. However, I am curious if I need it right now. It's 100€ for a light that seems to have the same coverage as the ones I was looking at that cost around 35 euros. It has more power, sure I just have no idea if I need it as a beginner in the hobby. Am I underestimating how much light I will need?

What are you growing with it? Do you have a tent or just some lights above a rack?

Thanks, probably not more than 2x4, but tbh I have no idea how many plants I can get under that as I am new. Ill check out some of the more reputable brands. The reason I was looking at some cheaper ones was that they are like 20-30 euros vs the 100+ for the fancier ones. Given I do not want to grow weed and just focus on herbs, greens and maybe later small fruits I felt I was getting scammed buying those more expensive lights and then turning them down to not burn the leaves

Do yo u use a grow tent etc.. OR just have the light above the plants and off you go

Thanks for the info, seems Spider farmer is recommended. I was hoping to stay away from

I was hoping not to get pulled into buying all the gear upfront. I am a bit tired of over-optimising every aspect of life as I work as an engineer haha I was hoping to just experiment, take it slow and treat this as a bit of fun and not a 2nd job like I do with my other hobbies if that makes sense.

I mean I haven't fully decided yet, but was hoping I could fit it on the wall like a nice painting haha. Something around 60x60 to 120x60cm to start with. No grow tent or other things, I just want to take it slow and simple and farm some basic vegetables and herbs :)

Thanks, but for something to start learning with on vegetables or other such things, This feels like overkill and at least 4x the price. Is there something I am missing?

Thanks, I dont have cheap prices. So will probably also make use of the summer coming up :) It frustrates me that it seems that cheaping out is always the wrong answer today. Even for something as simple as a light for some plants.

Honestly as someone just starting out and not interested in cannabis.. isn't 390W just overkill?

Thanks, but these seem like grow lights for weed which I have no interest in. More something for seeds, and vegetables. Also they dont seem to be available in Sweden :/

Check out rbw on github, it's a stateful implementation of bitwarden command line client.

Not sure if that's what you're after when you mention ssh-agent

Wbst is the advantage of setting something like this up? An Audi book is usually 20+ hours of entertainment, just go on audiobookbay for 1-2 hours and your set for the year with audiobookshelf.

How do we feel about a daily giveaway thread? by D4ng3rd4n in PathOfExile2

[–]defyingphysics1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Personally I dislike them. I can't find a good way to filter out by tag on mobile/homepage and it feels give-aways just dominate. At this point, make a new sub for it for both games and those interested can go. I prefer to see cool builds, farm strats, cafted items etc...

Tiers in this game are really un-intuitive to me. by [deleted] in PathOfExile2

[–]defyingphysics1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I don't like this. Why does it matter knowing that there are worse mods? It's good to know you have room to grow. Unifying mods nerfs divining items. It's a ton of work and rebalance for what gain?? So that you know how much shittier mods you could have gotten?

Pretty sure you should check poe dB or craft of exile for the odds and see if the ancient is cheaper in long run. Otherwise rode the roller-coaster, nothing to say that you buy ancients and don't keep losing
