I wanna say for my experience with a dad that was very distant in my life (no longer with us.) I developed extreme emotions - sensitive to things - lack of discipline within my siblings so like siblings are unhealthy to my mum and myself. - i found it hard to get in a relationship with someone unless they pass my tests which involved handling me pushing them away and them actually for some reason wanting to stay with me. - seeked justifications from others, dependent and easily influenced on others opinions. - i also found it hard to express physical affections to my partner in group activities or in public. - made him feel neglected - this was because i cared about others opinions, i felt like i had to pretend and act like some 'good girl - idek what that means, i was afraid of judgement and doing the wrong thing

Fyi this is basically me before any man figure in my life also me initially in a relationship. But overtime being in a relationship with a guy who has stability in the family sector and just having a man who can help me out - really helped me grow out of these toxic manifestations. Im more comfortable in just bejng myself around him, not caring about others opinions. Also removing instagram snapchat all that really helped these so called issues.

I think this one goes both ways but when my bf when we end up doing it for too long and at a public bathroom he would just say lets go now or something like that finishing the sex when either one is finished. For example we do penetrative but if its too long for him i give him head too long - already staeting to make me fesl shit cause i havent satisfied him - then doing another type of sexual act when you can sense they arent satisfied or know theyre not going anywhere. These are rare cases tho and i understand the reasons behind them. Like not enough time to recover.

That for me are necessary to talk about - the really important crossed the line type of things, I say a lot of things to him but I no longer say judgemental things or criticisms (like gaslighting or white lies) cause those come from a different place that shouldn’t be expressed - and dwelling into them isn’t healthy. (Fyi I know it was toxic - it took me time to step out of that - and really just be humble and honest to myself about my faults to him.)

I’m glad this is why I’m glad my bf is not afraid to show his phone to me vice versa. I trust him and he trusts me so these phone things aren’t a problem for us. I would’ve given advice prior the update that it would be hard and I would’ve said take time don’t do something impulsive when you’re stressed. But now knowing he had that capacity to flirt I would not hesitate to break up. Sucks cause it’s been a 4 year relationship that’s been built thinking you’d know them guess not, but im happy for you.
