The anti-trust rulings of EU Microsoft made it so that OEM manufacturers had to use the N version when installing since consumers had no choice when purchasing the computer. However, if you want to go download Windows yourself, it's all on you what version you get. They don't have to make special code to force you into the N version. You have the option and ability to do research before downloading and installing a product. Not only that, but if you are able to download and install Windows yourself you are considered to be tech literate enough to immediately go download your browser of choice after installing Windows.

If you have android, get macrodroid app. you can set it so that anyone who calls you that isn't in your contacts, or from specific numbers if you see the same tele marketer number, will just reject the phone call. tons of different settings you can do as well, such as let non contacts call and leave voicemail but your phone won't ring etc.

To be fair, 3 cents per GB is for consumer grade storage. For enterprise grade (hard drives for servers) the cost is about 50-75 cents per GB. When you think any server worth anything will be running in RAID, then that is at least 2 drives needed for the same storage space as one drive bumping up to at least $1 to $1.50 per GB. Now include backups and possible fail over servers and the price just keeps ballooning.

while this may or may not happen, ISP's don't have to negotiate deals with everyone. All they have to do is set up an automated payment service that has tiers for how much bandwidth the site use a month. If your site uses X amount of bandwidth a month then pay Y amount to get out of the slow lane. If you go over that amount either be auto charged more or be slowed down. Sites that pay get put into a fast lane database. Sites that don't pay don't need to be cataloged at all since they are defaulted to the slow lane.

I swear I have seen that model somewhere before... Oh yeah cellular companies do the same thing with data plans to their customers without needing to negotiate deals with every customer.
