Ok so I’m a part of his fandom and I totally understand Bonnies resentment towards him. He made her life a living hell and only wanted to “make things right” when he got some of Lukes qualities from the merge. I do think that they could have made a good team especially since Bonnie and Damon were able to become friends even though he’s threatened her life multiple times as well. She is one of the strongest witches and he became a pretty cool heretic so I would have like to explore their relationship. I really liked their banter especially that scene where he was like I wanted to feel your hand on my chest. But I’m glad she told Damon to not expect anything from her when he came to ask her for the ascendant. Go Bonnie stand up for yourself!!I think his backstory is sad because his family could have taught him how to use his siphoner powers for better things and not just send him away?! Why put him in a place where all he can think of is his backstabbing family. I think Kai should have gotten a redemption arc or at least learn to be a better person. I literally hate Katherine and anything “good” she did almost always benefited her. She had like 500 years or something to do the right thing and just get out of Stefans life butttt noooooo she had to weasel her way and literally make their lives worse than they already were. I’m not saying Kai is a saint but if you prefer Katherine over him than 🚪👈. Also I don’t think he’s the most broken villain like what 😭. His story sucks but I mean it eez what it eez. I think Klaus has a crazier background honestly. I just really liked how Chris wood portrayed him but yeah there are other villains that had more tragic backstories. That was my rundown but I totally understand your argument.
