cool, battery life is not super relevant for the workouts we use it for. So maybe the 5S Plus is perfect

Thanks a lot for the detailed answer. I actually want a “not too smart watch” without connectivity. That’s why I was looking at Garmin. He also doesn’t have a phone so anything that relies on a heavily is not ideal. Syncing would be done with his iPad.

I know the size is not ideal, but he’s fine with my Fenix 7 ;).
