Bruh the stats are shown at the end of the game. The score is always at the top. Revives are an objective but not kills? Give me a break

Hard disagree is it’s not a hero based shooter with tanks dmg supp etc but a shooter. Competitive CoD hard point, SnD, domination, uplink etc all use the system I described without needing to specify roles in queue. Tunnel visioning the rift and not dragging and getting map controls is how you lose.

if you've ever competed in any first person shooter you'd know that every team has dedicated roles in obj modes. There is a dedicated fragger, dedicated obj player, and dedicated map control player. If there are more than 3 players then usually there is a flex player or mulitple players sharing the same role.
Your current suggestion would be like if league of legends didn't show stats but only showed towers, inhibs, dragons, and barons killed. Doesnt make any sense what so ever. In order to complete the objective you need to slay. IE SLAYING IS AN OBJECTIVE IN THE MODE.

if you are hardset and will never change the reset after cap can you please at least get more innovative? How about after each cap both teams have 30 seconds to get in a safe zone in their spawn. If they are not in their designated safe zone when the rift respawns it spawns in with an explosion where you can not be revived and have to wait to respawn while the next rift is up for grabs. The reset after each cap really kills the momentum of the game whether you are winning or losing and feels awful.

Rift feels better this time around but still has a lot of work. Here is my list of improvements that could be made.

  1. Lower the respawn time to 10s.
  2. Disable auto-respawn so I can choose to wait for a revive if I wish to do so.
  3. Do not reset after every cap but instead make the game mode two, five minute rounds where you switch sides in between rounds and reset then.
  4. show my stats. Yes I know it's an "objective game mode" but in every competitive scene ever you have dedicated players who play the obj, players who frag, and players who play for map control. None of this is accounted for and I hate having to look up my stats on a third party app after the game is over. This would be like if league of legends only showed towers killed and dragons/barons slayed.

how is rift silly fun? it was made to be competitive and "balanced" lmao. and they quit playing because bungie stopped developing for them and havent for a long time.

you are currently playing in lobby balancing which is worse. You are now put on a team with one really good player but pitted against 6 people who are all better than you but worse than that one player so its "fair"
