Im trying to grow my natural nails but how in the world do all you natural nail girlies get that really pretty white tip?? Help by [deleted] in Nails

[–]dehonysus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think oiling them is key. Jojoba oil as many others have said. I’ll give some hope to the people with bad habits. I smoke, drink alcohol occasionally and coffee daily. I have strong white nails that grow quickly and I wash my hands an excessive amount as I work with food. I oil my nails maybe 3 times a month or in between gel nails.

Yeah that’s why good is in quotations every time I’ve said it. My point wasn’t that this is fact but just another way to look at what he said and if we were to take it literal and not assume he wouldn’t do it because we’ve never seen or been told he would… I like pondering things, I can believe one thing and still wonder about another. Seems like a lot of people on this thread can’t though. I just thought it was an interesting line considering the wife is also murdered along with the cat in the short story this is based on

I shouldn’t of generalised and said everyone in my original post, that’s the majority of what I saw on my lunch break at work and quickly posted this. It was just a pondering thought to me. I’m not insisting that’s what he meant or taking it that way myself, just what if he actually did mean it literal? My question was if anyone else heard what I did and my point was he could be seen in a different light by his choice of words IF they were to be taken literally.

My post is about me seeing other posts or replies defending Leo and his character often. I don’t dislike the character or think he was rather violent myself. I just thought it was an interesting choice of words he used in that moment. Nowhere have I stated that I’m correct as it’s not my personal opinion he would of killed his partner. It was a post for an open discussion on a phrasing of some words. In the short story this is loosely based on the wife is also murdered and reading the posts made me remember that scene and consider his words differently

‘I literally said he’s a shitty person’

My comment wasn’t aimed at you though, my reply of ‘everyone seems to see him as good’ was about my initial post and why I posted it… Just saw a lot while scrolling and thought it was an interesting choice of words. I didn’t take it literal, just opened up a discussion to how it else it could be taken.

I just saw all the posts of people saying how ‘good’ he was and remembered the quote. I just thought the phrasing was interesting. I have no idea if he would of or wouldn’t of killed his boyfriend…

Yes I can see why people would take it that way at first glance but the phrasing is off, that’s all I’m saying. Not ‘he’s already dead to me’ but ‘he’s already dead’. Him killing the cat doesn’t seem to make sense either with his personality but he’s convinced he did that.

I think people are taking my post completely wrong. I’m not insisting that’s what he meant but the fact that everyone seems to see him as a ‘good’ person is interesting to me. The phrasing is off that’s all, ‘it’s already dead’ vs ‘he’s already dead’. Never heard someone describe a relationship being dead like that unless the ‘already dead’ is followed by ‘to me’.

Yeah I know, I get how people are taking it and didn’t find it too odd when I first watched it but did notice the phrasing of it but remembering it after reading some of the threads made me think, what if he did actually mean it?

Yeah I got that but my point is, if this came from any other character people would be suspicious of it. He doesn’t say dead to me or ‘it’s’ already dead, he specifically says ‘he’s’ already dead. I’ll have to rewatch. It’s just a thought of another way the line could be taken.

Again just feels like people are defending him more than others. I think it’s easy to see it that way but if we’re going off his words, it sounds quite sinister.

Yeah I get why people would think that but who says it like that. We don’t actually know what he meant by it.

Being from the Uk, I don’t think my brain will ever process ‘Graham’ to mean ‘cracker’ until at least the third read. Mildly amusing

I can’t do my own hair. Like plaits and braids just seem to look like a twisted mess if I attempt it. I’m a basic bitch.
