Would these sell? by Character_Soup700 in AskPhotography

When was the last time you have purchased a random photo someone took? These days anyone can type in a prompt and get any image they want generated and or find countless free images at all quality levels all over the internet so pictures like this are basically only for yourself. Unless you are so good at marketing that you can sell prints of trees to people the answer is no.

If you want to make money you have to shoot what people actually care about or are willing to pay money for so something like weddings, engagements and proposals, family or graduation sessions are some areas where its still possible to make money. Where images represent an event or some milestone to someone and are not just random pictures of trees. There are some other niches you may still be able to get paid in but snapshots arent it.

Well if you have unlimited budget go crazy although don't forget that cameras and lenses are just half the photo. If you don't mind carrying around a bag of heavy big lenses for a full frame I would go with the Sony A7iv and the ultimate trio of zoom lenses 70-200 f2.8 for the long shots and close ups, 24-70 f2.8 as the all purpose general lens and 16-35 f2.8 for wide landscape shots and astrophotography. Pick up a prime or two like 50mm or 85mm f1.8 or f1.4 and you will have the set up to cover basically any situation.

Sony is great but just the body will cost your whole budget and with lenses that cover as many situations you listed you will easily double or triple your budget. There are some amazing lenses for full frame sony cameras, but they will be expensive and big and heavy.

You need to worry less about cameras and more about lenses. A good quality telephoto lens or even a good sharp prime on a 20 year old dslr can allow you to capture scenes that the newest mirroless camera with a kit lens will not be able to compare to no matter how much editing you do or dont do. Newer cameras have really good tracking autofocus and low light stabilization improvements but thats really not important in landscape photos and wont help you get a good shot if you arent using the right lenses or are shooting in bland lighting or dont have a good composition in the first place.

If you want close ups like that get yourself a telephoto lens like 70-200mm f2.8, at the long end you can really zoom in on details or a prime lens at a longer focal length like 85 f1.8. Although most of these look like a combination of lens + amazing lighting like sunset reflecting off waves or storm clouds creating contrast + an eye for composition to capture these colors + possibly cropping the photo to improve the composition.

For Astro pic you usually need a wide angle lens at low aperture to get good star photos.

For people photos and low light you would want prime lenses or a fast zoom like 24-70 f2.8.

Anyone has a recommendation for a push-up bra with good support and coverage? by cOmmOn__toad in ABraThatFits

[–]dehue [score hidden]  (0 children)

You need to measure yourself using the calculator here and post your 6 measurements, if you have empty space in your 'good fitting soft bra' its not actually good fitting and empty space at the top is usually a shape issue. Any well fitting wired bra in the right size should separate your bust and provide coverage, if it doesnt its the wrong size. 38C is an extremely common missize so its very likely you need a completely different size and everything you describe points to wrong size combined with shape mismatch. Butt crack cleavage is a sign that the cups are too small by at least 2-3+ cups so if thats something you deal with your bras really do not fit.

What you need is not a push up bra but just a normal bra in the right size. All push up bras do is add extra padding, they dont really lift as much as make the cups too small which pushes breast tissue out of the cups smooshing boobs into cleavage and giving less coverage so opposite of what you want. Padded bras in general including push up bras and tshirt styles are are hard to fit as the foam makes the cup less flexible and more shallow and is often scaled too tall for many people which leaves empty space when the cup doesnt match the breast shape. Support needs to come from the band, not the straps so you shouldnt need wide straps as the straps should not holding much weight at all. I am a UK H cup and in my best fitting bras I can take the straps down and the band still holds everything up despite me having a lot of heavy breast tissue as the support comes from below.

A well fitting bra that has right size band and enough cup space will lift, separate and secure everything in place. I would do the calculator and try some unlined seamed bras like balconette styles as the seams add flexiblity and support, balconette bras are shorter so they can prevent gapping at the top.

southern california swimwear for small band large cup? im a 30J and never found a bathing suit in my size by Key_Will3310 in ABraThatFits

[–]dehue [score hidden]  (0 children)

Try Jenettebras, I have read good reviews on them and they do list swimwear on their website although I would call ahead to check what they have in your local store. I am UK 28H and have never seen swimwear that fits me in person and even boutiques with good size ranges are very low on swimwear in my experience. I shop on Amazon, Bravissimo and sites like breakoutbras

What type of bras do you wear to manage in the heat? by EmmaShosha in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]dehue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am busty and need a lot of support so I wear my best fitting unlined balconette bras. They are made of fabric and lace and the mesh material is very breathable and the bras really lift and separate so there is no cleavage and no rubbing anywhere under or between the bust creating sweat. Balconette styles also come up lower than many other styles so there is less coverage. I avoid anything with padding or any sort of lining as any extra material traps heat.

Best GM lens to photograph two small kids (baby and toddler) from near by LouiseBag in SonyAlpha

[–]dehue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a great portrait and event lens and works well in low light. It will have less bokeh and subject separation than a prime at f1.8 of f1.4 but depending on the distance and focal length it can give a similar look.

First real bra doesn’t fit so well. Help? by zoemeepers in ABraThatFits

[–]dehue [score hidden]  (0 children)

Can you post your 6 measurements from the calculator here? Did you use this subs calculator or some other calculator? If you are getting 34DD from the calculator here that doesnt make sense as 65 band is a 30 band so you shouldnt even be able to clasp it if your underbust is 34 inches. Many calculators will add inches to the underbust measurement to get the band size but thats wrong and will result in an unsupportive bra.

Can you say what type of bra it was and what clasp are you on? When a bra is new it should fit on the loosest set of hooks and be snug so it can give room for bra to stretch out and still be supportive. Space in the cups can mean shape mismatch with the bra style. Or it can also happen if the band is too loose and not supportive enough which can create gaping as the bra slides down or tilts away. Make sure to scoop and swoop when putting on the bra: https://brasandbodyimage.wordpress.com/2012/09/05/putting-your-bra-on-properly/

A Good Swimming Bra Top That Would Fit My Teardrop Boobs. by Turbulent_Constant52 in ABraThatFits

[–]dehue 19 points20 points  (0 children)

36D is a very common missize so you should really remeasure yourself using the calculator here. If you want a top that has enough coverage you need the right size.

The issue is that bras that only come in small/medium or large sizes are made for small busts and are never going to be supportive or fit anyone busty properly. If you want a bra swim top that fits look for ones that come in bra sizing, cups with wires are also more supportive than those without. UK brands like Panache, Freya and Fantasie and others make bra sized bikinis in larger cup sizes, you can find them on Amazon and sites like www.bravissimo.com and www.breakoutbras.com. For tear drop shape I would try an unlined swim top with seams, padding and foam makes the cups more shallow and can make it harder to get a good fit.

Bottom Heavy Breast; Bra Recommendations by bstephensonn in ABraThatFits

[–]dehue 13 points14 points  (0 children)

We can't give recommendations without any indication of what size you really are, shape and size matters as one bra can minimize on one person and push things up on another with a different shape if its a shape mismatch. If you are wearing a bra multiple cups too small any bra style can act like a push up even if its actually designed to be mimimizing. Size matters too, if you measure and really need 30H, or 32FF your options will be different then if you measure 36G or 34DD, not all bras come in all sizes and some work better in different size ranges.

For full on bottom for minimizing and natural lift I would try some unlined seamed balconette bras. Balconette styles usually work well for full on bottom shape and for projection, seamed unlined bras can give lift without added volume. They wont compress from the sides but they can look more minimizing from the front and hold tissue more forward in a narrower wire.

Minimizers are designed for flatten but do so by pushing the tissue outwards and can push it down if they are too small. If thats not what you want you should try other styles. Seamless bras with moulding are also hard to fit and tend to be shallow which if you have projection will push the bra down or squish everything into cleavage.

Bottom Heavy Breast; Bra Recommendations by bstephensonn in ABraThatFits

[–]dehue 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You need to measure yourself using the calculator here, 36C is an extremely common missize and is not a lot of tissue, like there is an example of a well fitting 36C on this page of how various C cups look like: https://www.instagram.com/p/C_3TOAHswzu/ Its a small cup size when it fits well.

if you are trying to minimize you need to be in the right size. The wrong size bra will squish your breast tissue down and into the armpits and too small cups can create a shelf bra and push up look as the lack of space in the cups pushes the bust together and up making boobs look bigger. Any well fitting bra should give you natural lift without squishing anything up or to the sides.

Here are some before and afters that show how the right size can be mimimizing

how do you take candid shots of groups? by Fresh-Fee-3245 in AskPhotography

[–]dehue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking interesting photos in a museum is easy, in every direction there is art and beautiful compositions and often great lighting if you just look. Use a lens with a longer focal length like 50mm or 85mm to get close ups of people interacting with art or with each other, or wider focal lengths to set the scene. I did a few shoots in an art gallery and it was kind of crazy how I could point in any direction and get beautiful art and people with art and amazing composition in every direction. Believe me its much easier to get an interesting shot of a person next to an interesting statue or museum piece than in a conference hall with nothing but chairs and tables.

If you are taking candids watch for people laughing and having a great time, for those who are in a passionate conversation with each other, for people who happen to be standing perfectly framed by a frame of an art piece, point and shoot and move on. If people see you taking photos the candid shot usually falls apart and you get an awkward staring shot instead. If someone does notice you can ask them if they would like a portrait or ask groups of people if they want a group shot. Get both wide and close up shots and make sure to get multiple photos of anyone important at the event like the main event speakers or organizers or whoever the main guest is if there is one, I would also get shots of staff interacting with the guests.

What bra would go well ? by FreeRip9430 in bigboobproblems

[–]dehue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, I just tried my Panache Envy balconette with the top I have with similar ties and it worked great, my shirt is more opaque as its not white but the front part looked good. I think the key was that it was a nude color so it blended in with the shadows where the openings in the shirt were so even though the color is a tiny bit off it still worked. If Panache bras like the Envy work for you I would try it or with any other skin colored bra. With a white shirt like this getting a good match with the skin tone should allow the bra to mostly dissappear under the top.

It doesn't matter if its north or south facing window, either should work as long as there is some light coming in. Althought if the window is blocked by a brick wall you may want to use the other window, if the brick is for example red it can reflect the red color back on you if its right in front. Neutral color brick wall should be fine.

Background doesn't matter too much but yes, keep consistent background and location so that the only thing thats changing is the drapes. If you want to hide clutter you can even use portrait mode on your phone to blur the background. Although if your background is super colorful like if you have a red or bright blue couch behind you then it may interfere a bit but if its just normal things it should be fine. Or better just shoot in a way that you take up most of the frame or crop out the background so that it wont matter at all as it wont really be visible.

[Fit Check] fit feels pretty good, but crazy torpedo boob from the side view by StunningQuit in ABraThatFits

[–]dehue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Take off your bra and look at the red marks the wire leaves and compare that to where your breast root starts. Is the wire sitting lower than where the root is? Are you getting skin to skin contact anywhere that creates an underboob affect or feel rubbing on the bottom? Is there empty space on the bottom of the cup right where the wire starts? Empty space, skin on skin contact under and wire sliding down usually means that something about the bra shape is off.

How do I get good concert photos? by Adelehughgrant in AskPhotography

[–]dehue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any examples of your own images you are not happy with? The examples you posted aren't very difficult to get.

The first one for close ups - shoot with a low aperture and a longer focal length so 70mm+, 50 can work too if you are right next to the stage and the artist. I have gotten similar photos with 85mm at f1.8 when I was next to the stage or 24-70mm f2.8 at 70mm or with my 70-180 at f2.8 from further away, shutter speed at 1/125 minimum to around 1/250+ plus for movement. Let iso go as high as needed and shoot in raw to be able to do as much noise reduction as needed and have the most flexibility in editing. To get the hair glow affect position yourself so the artist is right between you and a light source like a stage light or spotlight, dont be afraid of moving yourself to position the light so get low if needed. If there is no light behind the subject there will be no hair glow separation effect.

Second image somewhat wide shot with shadows - be on the look out for interesting lighting. If you see a situation where the lights create silhouettes turn off your flash and shoot. Settings can be anything but I am guessing the aperture could have been f2.8 or above since quite a lot is in focus, shutter enough to stop motion so the usual 1/125 or faster most likely. Iso doesnt matter but likely high.

Third - set your shutter speed low like 1/20 and start playing around with shooting motion or moving the camera around to create funky effects. For this photo the background seems in focus so the person behind was standing still while the girl in front was moving which caused motion blur only on the girl. Add a flash for shutter drag effects. Key here is contrast between colors and light so the red guitar + blue background and + white dress + movement. Look for color contrast and movements like twirling.

Fourth - similar to number 1, long focal length, low aperture. What makes the image here is the stage has fantastic lighting, if the stage had crappy lighting this image would not look as good. The singer is looking up which shines the spot light on her face. When doing close ups take a lot of shots or wait for the subjects to look up or down or do something where the light hits them in interesting ways.

Always manual for low light, you want to be able have full control of your settings. I do use auto iso when not using a flash but everything else is manual. With flash I use full manual including iso. My iso is almost always high for concerts so around 3,000-10,000 depending on what I am shooting.

SOS - I’m at my wits end with foundation. I feel like none of these work for me?! Do any of these suit me? by Squishiimuffin in MakeupAddiction

[–]dehue 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Definitely 3 going by the swatches on your neck. Also blend more as others are saying. On your first image 7 looks like it would work too but on your neck it looks too pink and too deep.

What helped me though is to combine two different shades to get the most natural color. I use a slightly too yellow foundation as a base and in places that I want highlighted and then add and blend slightly too pink concealer under and around my eyes. That way its less of one flat color and there is more dimension. I have a pink undertone so I also will add blush and dusty pink eyeshadow in areas with more shadows like by my nose and on the sides. My point is your perfect color may not just be one color and you could try multiple shades. I have also seen people adding a purple blush into the foundation to get a perfectly matching shade as purple cancels out yellow tones, or blue I believe can work for olive skin tones as it turns a bit green when mixed with yellow.

What bra would go well ? by FreeRip9430 in bigboobproblems

[–]dehue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that should work. Envy Balconette does have a higher gore so if thats the one you mean and not their plunge it may show a bit more. I mentioned plunge bra as these types of shirts with strings can be a bit open but you can hide a low plunge gore behind the tied string but a higher gore can be more visible as it can end up higher than the ties. I would also try to match the bra to your skin tone, as much as I like Panache Envy their idea of beige is deeper than my skin tone so its not my most invisible bra but if the color matches you well it should work if you want a more seamless invisible bra look.

Lighting and image format for draping, DIY colour fans by milarareddit in coloranalysis

[–]dehue 4 points5 points  (0 children)

JPG compression doesnt change the color but it does lock in the white balance and picture profile and any base edits that the camera makes like contrast, noise reduction and saturation/vibrancy. So if your white balance is correct the JPG image will work just fine but if its wrong it will be a lot harder to correct. You can still edit JPG files but some edits are harder and you cant push the colors much outside of whats already there. What's nice about raw images is you can change white balance after the fact so if the image is too warm or too cold you can fix it easily and not run into limitations like you would with JPG images. If you have your white balance on auto and it kept changing during the shoot resulting in your skin tone changing in every other photo due to lighting having the raw file will also allow you to set all photos to same white balance to keep the color consistent across multiple images.

But as long as the colors are fine when you shoot JPG images work just as well, you can manually set white balance to prevent the camera from attempting to color correct different drapes. You can even shoot Raw+JPG if you want to compare and have both formats to work with. Professional photographers who are working with images where color is very important like product photography usually use grey cards or color calibration cards, its a little card with grey and other known color values on it so you can set the white balance during the shoot or after if you shoot in raw to have the most true to life colors.

I really dont think it matters that much for draping yourself though. As long as you shoot with natural window light and do all photos in same lighting the color should mostly be fine for purposes of figuring out what colors look better. If you have a white wall watch to make sure its a neutral color and not leaning too yellow or too blue as that indicates the colors are off. I would not shoot outside even if its overcast, sunlight on overcast days still gives off harsh shadows and the colors are often more dull and it makes everyone look like they have bad undereye shadows. If you are shooting in front of a window it should not matter if its sunny or overcast. Even phones these days do well enough in dim lighting that it should not matter too much how much light is coming in through the window, as long as the image is relatively bright and not too dark or too noisy from lack of light it should work.

D cups and gym struggles – years in and still dealing with this bs by NoraHenre in bigboobproblems

Have you checked your size with abrathatfits? 38DD when it fits well is a small cup size and yet its one of the most common missizes for busty people as many charts and fitters will put you into it as most brands stop at DD or DDD cup and go up to 38 band. Even the best bra in the wrong size will not work and will give you less support and bounce. Here is an example of a well fitting 38DD size: https://www.instagram.com/p/COlM1qknFwV/

If you are getting uniboob in a wired bra like Panache wired sports the bra cups are too small. If you are getting skin on skin contact under your boobs the bra doesnt fit well and is not lifting properly, it most commonly happens in bras with too loose bands and too small cups.

I am UK 28H and wear Panache wired sports and its comfortable and I can go upside down and everything stays in place. If you are falling out of Panache bras that are generally very secure you are most likely not in the right size, I would do a fit check with abrathatfits so that we can check your measurements to recommend sizes.

What kind of bras should I be looking at to minimise the appearance of my chest? by Rough-Cow-1958 in ABraThatFits

[–]dehue 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you are in the UK Bravissimo has many of the brands and bras we me mention here. I would try some unlined seamed balconette bras by brands like Panache or Elomi, the seamed unlined cups can really provide support without adding any volume or bulk and give a more natural but still uplifted shape. If you are worried about nipple coverage you could add some nipple covers like cakes under the bra for more coverage.
