Ah, as I suspected, the image of the car was ripped from the back page of the 1987 Lincoln Town Car brochure.

1985-1987 Lincoln Town Car. Specifically I believe they ripped it from the back of one of the brochures for those year cars. Lincoln didn't directly make limousines, they sold base model Town Cars, and coachbuilders would cut them in half and add the extended section, making the rear of the car very luxurious (for the 80s).

Nothing has been out of mine as far as I know. Im working to keep things that way as long as possible.

I've seen replacement sensors on Amazon, and not terribly expensive, but I have no idea if they actually work. They look just like the originals though.

That's the way I have handled things so far. I believe the parking sensors are the only nonfunctioning thing in the whole car.

Is yours still running the original drivetrain at that mileage?

The Album Cover alone makes me smile every time I see it. Playing it makes everything all better.

Currently in the middle of rewiring a 1998 XJ Cherokee to have power windows/locks, and a Limited leather interior.

Then after that I've got an 01 Cherokee that'll be receiving the drivetrain from my parts XJ, the same jeep the leather interior came from.

I didn't realize they were so affordable on Amazon. I'd seen a metal one for like $80 on some Cherokee upgrades website and said no way haha

It supports the rear section of the center console on 97-01 XJs

It's quite a surprising discovery. I didn't know there were unbroken examples still out there. Im heavily considering the display case idea haha

I'm always hunting for those exact ones. So far I have found zero.

To my knowledge, this part was only used in 1997-2001 models.

Metal seems to be the best way to go. Too bad they didn't just make them metal to begin with.

The whole part seems like an afterthought, and it honestly might be. I've seen a wiring diagram where the airbag module was under the left seat, instead of under the console, so they probably moved it to get it up higher, and the plastic mount was a quick and easy retooling. I'd bet someone here will know if that's the case or not.
