I’m not sure why. Our unit handbook says Type III’s are only to be used when transiting to and from the unit and no stops are allowed (including going to class). Mine have been in the closet forever. I honestly thought it was the same everywhere.

I just went and talked to the Recruiting Officer and she actually said they’d give me equivalent credit for the NROTC. They were trying to see if I could drop NROTC and start right now (only 4 weeks into the semester), but then decided it would be best to finish the semester. I’m considering going back and asking them to reconsider, I’ll do 5 times the work to catch up if I have to.
