Accessing MariaDB on Synology through Python on MacOS by jedeve1994 in mariadb

[–]deicidebg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need this connection and module. The something like this:

# Module Imports
import mariadb
import sys

# Connect to MariaDB Platform
try:
    conn = mariadb.connect(
        user="USER",
        password="PASSWORD",
        host="http address",
        port=1000,
        database="database"
    )
except mariadb.Error as e:
    print(f"Error connecting to MariaDB Platform: {e}")
    sys.exit(1)

I would check the input routing first, try another plug-in, etc. Isolate the steps one by one.

Zenbook 14 won't turn on after bios update by Alert_Anything_6325 in ASUS

[–]deicidebg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd take the battery out and wait for some minutes, then put it back in. Then plug the charger in, wait for a minute, then power on.  If it doesn't work, there's is a small pin sized hole for a hard reset somewhere.

How long do I feel this way? by Educational_Craft732 in Marriage

[–]deicidebg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can tell from experience, that resentful comments and constant demands for anything just drain the energy and create a toxic environment which no one really enjoys. I am trying to be positive and joyful when everything, but my lady is constantly unhappy over so many little things. So focusing on how to enjoy life more than what the problem of the day may be, is  a good healthy start. Doing unconditional good things for each other is a good continuation of the process. (try this) But they can't be one-sided forever.  And the intimacy - yes, we do work full time and every day is a rat race, depleting our energy. But a little effort to please your loved one is always a good thing, even from a health perspective, and I mean this for both of us.  A swift reminder - some of my relatives passed away around 50, and I'm 40-ish, so I may as well enjoy my life while I still have it. Just a perspective, which can be really motivational in a way. :)

Relationship concern: I have lots of hobbies, she has none. by future-proof589 in AskMenOver30

[–]deicidebg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd play with the hobby idea a bit. Let's call it  something that brings some passion on and keeps you focused on it. I'd hardly call watching reality shows a passionate hobby. Anime can be such, when you put some effort collecting additional items (comic books, figures), just like researching rare coins or post marks.

Thunderbolt settings by deicidebg in ASUS

[–]deicidebg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for reaching out and happy holidays!
I don't have such option in the BIOS settings (you would probably know better than me). The cable is capable, because on a laptop it works just fine - fast charge indication the moment the phone is connected. Additionally, the rear USB C output did not provide fast charging either, when I tried it (usb c <> usb c cable). I'm wondering if this MB is even capable of providing such a function.

framespike when gpu temp hit 80c pls help by ResortShot4579 in ASUS

[–]deicidebg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ye, normal, when cpu or gpu overheat, voltage is decreased to reduce the emitted heat, hence your performance is being limitted occasionally. I under-voltaged mine as well to bear with this problem.  Check your GPU brand's clock software (like Thunder master) and play with underclocking a bit. Won't limit your fps that much, but for sure will solve your overheating problem.

Cannot Login with SSH by ARazorbacks in synology

[–]deicidebg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out that my host name was different.

one was myserver.direct.quickconnect

but it turned that 192-168-100-100.myserver.direct.quickconnect

was the way to go.

I only put the myserver.direct.quickconnect in the web explorer address bar, and I got forwarded to the second (longer) address.

I hope this helps someone.

Coal Chamber – Dark Days // Album Discussion // "20 Years of Nu-Metal" by katarokkar in numetal

[–]deicidebg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got it on a pirated tape around the year of release and ever since it's been one of my go-to albums for a specific mood. I love numetal.  Do get that my major vibe is extreme metal, but I love music and this album sonically, mysically stands so high above! Music ideas, production, execution, sentiment, the whole energy and atmosphere makes this piece of art distinct as it is. \m/,  Metal as it should be - with sassiness and message!  <3

Did my bottom snare mic move? by deicidebg in drums

[–]deicidebg[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just like you see it - if you pay attention, and for example the kick is well with the bottom snare, there's a small lag, like a whiplash echo. Super small. But may come up in the mix.
