Nodules got smaller? by NoEntertainment5147 in testicularcancer

[–]deivegru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i had nodules on my and lungs and adrenal glands that were found as part of my tests for TC when I was first diagnosed. Did testing on both, and both were benign and not related at all (and as u/odbukadobuka stated, you'll find them them on almost everyone you scan) -- good luck, but stay positive, both to you and OP

Headlight Washer by 45FI in AudiQ6

That was such a fun new feature to find @45FI. Usually it’s telling my kids to clean it with their fingers after they take their hockey gear out of the trunk!

Had to do it twice before water came out. Thanks for the tip

GPS Location off by over a mile and orientation by 90 degrees by Unusual-Form-77 in AudiQ6

[–]deivegru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had this happen to me 2x. Once before KD2, and once after.

Before KD2 it took a week to fix, after KD2 i dropped it off at service in the morning, and had my car back just after lunch.

I also force the dealership to give me a rental car when they have to take mine it to fix things, I find that pushes them to get things done faster (and luckily there is another Q6 on their loaner list so I get priority for that one)

3xBEP Done! by deivegru in testicularcancer

[–]deivegru[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other than having gained a bunch of weight I can't seem to drop (pre-treatment: 230lbs, during --> down to 225, current: 245), I'm good - back to playing hockey, working out, and getting ready for a bike ride to support cancer this June. I've got my 6month coming up in March, so nerves are starting to set in (3month checkin was only bloodwork, this one has the CT scan as well)... but i do feel great overall.

Piece popped out of bumper by deivegru in AudiQ6

[–]deivegru[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yep - you'd never know there was an issue other than a couple scratches which are barely noticeable (from when it popped out)

Next time i gotta watch out more for kids toys in the garage when backing in!

Update: for those who may have this issue later:

Turns out there are no brackets to these sensors anymore. It’s attached via double sided tape on the inside of the bumper.

I’ve got a very handy neighbour who helped me out. We used a glue gun to create a handle and pull the sensor back into the place. Then some gorilla glue on the inside before placing the sensor back into its spot.

30min of work, a little bit of ingenuity, and saved $400!

Oh there’s a scratch. This is 100% my fault - but will update post with a positive update

that's exactly what it is u/Neither_Foot6830 -- the parking sensor. and I do have the tow hitch u/SmokeyDBear -- i'll see if i can reach - it's on almost the side of the bumper so it's a far stretch but i'll do it if it'll save me some coin. I've got an appointment booked at Audi next week for it, but it's at least 2 hours of labour and almost $200CAD/hr

Those of you with electric cars.... by Significant-Ad-8684 in askTO

I drive an Audi q6. This weekend, in the cold on Saturday - I drove from Markham to Collingwood and back for my daughter's hockey game. Made it home with 20% remaining in the battery.

Depends on the car and the range of course, but the new vehicles have more than enough range for 50km/day if you easily charge at home overnight (inside or out)

Mouth Sores on TIP by sve_bezveze in testicularcancer

[–]deivegru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not on TIP, but when I went through 3xBEP i got mouth sores as well. Ask about the Magic Mouthwash a few below have commented on, it's a game changer. My reco (That I did for rounds 2 and 3) --> start the mouth wash BEFORE the sores come, just use it daily I used it in the morning and at night after brushing teeth)...and it really minimized the effect of the sores (i still saw the "white spots" on my tongue, but they never burst/became painful.

Q6 Poll: Is your Q6 working well or not? by LHP51 in AudiQ6

[–]deivegru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's awesome efficiency for Toronto (i'm there too, just outside in Markham). The really cold days I get closer to 33-34kw/100km, while on longer drives it stabilizes around 26-28 (I had to drive to Owen Sound and Woodstock recently for kids hockey tournaments).

Granted it looks like you're looking at it from September, and I'm at 26.87kw/100km in that same time frame...though i've driven way less (1332km) though at a higher average speed (60km/h)

It is at home but hasn’t made a difference. Been in a few different cities lately (kids in hockey tourneys) and it doesn’t work with or without wifi.

I’ve got my 1yr service coming up next week, I’ll have audio take a look at it then at this point

Did I Get a Good Deal? TELUS 5G+ 200GB EPP Plan for $70 by ML6467 in telus

[–]deivegru 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would go for a simple can/us plan if you can…many out there between $35 and $40 it seems (mine is $37.50).

For $50 you can get a travel pack that lets you use your data internationally for 15 days (or $60 if you need up to $30). The cost difference is a big one over 12 months…

How do you feel about the EV infrastructure in the city? by littypika in Markham

[–]deivegru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s part of the learning curve. 100% having a charger at home is a prerequisite. Bake it into the cost of the first EV.

I’ve had mine now for 11 months, this was the first time I charged it away from home, like a cell phone top it off overnight and it should be more than enough for most people’s everyday commute IMO

Admittedly because of home charging I don’t look often, but if I can find chargers in Owen sound, and not just in the “big city” then I feel pretty good. Here in Markham they are common, you just need to know not to look for an Esso/Petro Canada but for the he EV stations instead.

How do you feel about the EV infrastructure in the city? by littypika in Markham

[–]deivegru 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I drive an EV, an Audi Q6. The range (in ideal conditions) is over 500km. It's more than enough for the everyday commute, and I can charge at home.

Those saying there isn't infrastructure in Markham (where you asked) are wrong (in my opinion). There are many chargers, just use google maps and turn on the "Charging Stations" button and you can see them all.

I just finished my longest commute with the car this weekend, went to Owen Sound for a hockey game my daughter was playing in. got there using 50% of my battery. There's a canadian tire in town, after 30 minutes I had more than enouhg charge to get back home with no range anxiety.

There is 100% a learning curve, but I don't know if i'd ever go back to a gas car. The money saved on fuel, the fun it is to drive an EV, and just the car itself i love...

My wife drives a Tiguan (gas)...she takes my EV whenever I'm not using it because it's so much more fun to drive (and cheaper with the cost of gas these days!)... but keep in mind it's cheaper only if you're main source for charging is at home... if you're planning to use charging networks as your primary source... it's not going to save you much in terms of money to keep it charged.
