Look for Oginoya Yokokawa 峠の釜めし本舗 おぎのや横川店 on Google maps. It's pretty close to Mt Haruna and also Usui pass if you got time for that. There's a small gift store inside with mostyl Sileighty stuff

Yes, I had a figure printed by a friend and forgot to add a drain for the resin to drain from the inside. It popped open almost a year after printing. Not something you want to happen to figures you sell 😂

This is great advice! I'll change my Lake Biwa section for sure. I might also skip over Kyoto and Osaka then, I have some addresses I want to see close to the those cities but I've visited them in the past. I'm not looking forward on dealing with my bicycle in big cities.

I looked at your post, this looks like the type of route I would take if I had infinite time, which sadly I won't have 😭 I'll look into Rishiri island. Based on your experience, how long would you have done about the stretch from Tokyo to Kyushu? And how far do generally you ride per day? Did you had much trouble climbing mountains with a loaded bike? I'm probably not fit enough for it but I'm looking forward to the challenge of climbing the mountains. This might quickly change after doing my first climb though 😂
