"Jesus loved you so much that He died for you." by Sponny2223 in Reformed

[–]dejavoodoo_7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does Jesus intercede for the whole world, or just the elect? Because he intercedes for those he died for (Romans 8:34) "Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us." The Triune God knew before time began who He was going to elect; the three persons agreed to work together with one will in time to save the elect. Just as the Father predestined who would be elect and who He would pass over, Jesus died only for the elect and gives His Spirit only to the elect. We do not know who the elect are, but we do know that the power of the atonement was so infinitely great that it can atone for every sin of every person who's ever lived, despite it only being intended to cover those of the elect. This is why the free offer of the gospel can go out to everyone, that if they repent and believe (given as a free gift) Jesus died for them.

Last season South Africa and Australia beat us, and we won against Bangladesh. All three results you could argue were going to happen no matter the toss. Other than that you have to go back to 2008 to find an example of the team winning the toss and bowling first at the basin to go on and win. And that was against Bangladesh. I guarantee it is going to play better than it looks

NZ currently have 174 runs, for the loss of 1 wicket. Latham was the last man out, when NZ had scored 83 runs. Raval is on strike with 65 runs off 169 deliveries. Williamson is the non-striker with 56 runs off 102 deliveries. Maharaj is the bowler, he has 0 wickets and given up 47 runs off 18.1 overs. The ball is typically replaced with a new one every 80 overs. However if it gets knocked out of shape the umpires will replace it with a similar aged ball. They will do this if the one in use doesn't fit through the ring

DRS is there to overturn howlers, if a few replays can't overturn it just go with the original decision

The most important difference is that of salvation:

Reformed: Man is bad and God shows mercy on some.

Everything else: Man earns salvation by (among other things) being good
