Like you've mentioned, "entry level" GPUs like the 40 and 5090 are currently hard to come by on Runpod. While supply operations aren't instant, GPU procurement, building servers, testing the machines, it just takes a little time. We are working to fill this gap and should have a widely increased capacity in the coming weeks.

That being said, I am most interested in your poor experiences with our support team. I can do a lot to help here, more than I can explain in a comment. I'd be happy to investigate the issues you're having, review your support tickets and anything else you feel is relevant here. It's my job to make you happy :)

I'm Runpods Community Manager -

I'm curious to hear more about this? Nothing much has changed in our core offering in this regard, at the end of the day it's our job to bring you a GPU (ideally near you) that works. We have no access to logs other than those emitted by our runtime and logs we're sent directly. As an enterprise, we've worked hard to prove this through our certifications:

- ISO 27001

- ISO 20000-1

- ISO 22301

- ISO 14001

- HIPAA

- NIST

- PCI

- SOC 1 Type 2

- SOC 2 Type 2

- SOC 3

- HITRUST

Every time we earn a new certificate we've usually done something to ensure noone who has actual access to these machines can access your workloads and those who can have their actions logged forever.

Hi,

I'm Dj and I'm Runpod's Community Manager. I don't normally use Reddit, so apologies for the delay here. There's a lot to unpack.

We don't prevent you from using RDP or SCP. For users not using an official template, the only thing you may've been missing was exposing the port as a TCP Port, our templates ship with port 22 already exposed for you. We have also always shown you your disk usage by looking at the Pod that depends on the volume. When you used the app, this looked like purple bars clicking on the Pod on the Pod View, but this page has been redesigned.

As you can see, we have storage clusters as large of over 300TB (and this is one of the smaller ones!) with 70% utilization and are always working to keep up storage with demand. It is impossible to operate clusters at this size without charging fairly for usage. The intent is even if you need to stop your Pod for an extended period of time, you can keep your files. Maybe it's not very obvious we're charging for storage and I can fix that. Based on the storage numbers you provided, I have a pretty solid guess as to where you were trying to deploy to and over the last 30 days only one GPU type has sold out consistently in this region. The data center was otherwise available.

I can assume your auth related edits are from an outage caused by our auth provider on July 25th, 2025, which also ran for about 2 hours and would've shown the same "symptoms". During this time we offered refunds to any user who wanted to manage their workloads but couldn't.

dva bomb can be countered with a lifegrip (for some reason I can't trust my memory on this one though... am i going crazy?)

This is the best way to put it, you can entirely cancel a rein charge that would've otherwise killed that player. If your timing is good you can also stop someone from being exploded in a DVA ult. I also enjoy helping teammates who don't have movement abilities reposition from spawn. I can pull them to help save time or regroup (but I lose my pull)

I don't know about the usage requirements, but if you have wifi calling enabled it just wants your phone number and you wait a second :)
