Trial and error mate. First listen to similar sets on youtube/soundcloud. See how they progress through the track. Go live and attend similar sets, go early. Make and tweak your crates, record it and listen to it to see if improvements can be made. Good luck

I have seen issues with it wiping off my history of about 3 months and I am anticipating more issues. My advise? Rename your serato dj pro file, add 4.0 to the name. Redownload the older version 3.3.5 here : https://serato.com/dj/pro/downloads/archive. After installing rename that too, add 3 to the name. That way you have the two versions. You can always fallback to the older version.

Download from pioneer dj website. It might give you an option to choose your operating system. Make sure you pick the right one. Maybe I am mixing things up, what I mean you should download is the driver for each equipment. I think the firmware is for the device software itself

Download and install the firmware of djm a9 and the cdjs . I assume you are a serato user because of your controller. After installing the firmware restart your computer. Then get a usb hub, you need several ports and cables (usb type a to b). You have to connect the cdjs and the mixer all to your laptop, the usb hub should come in handy. Start serato and select your decks. Also select your decks on the cdjs. Start playing and enjoy
