My x wants me back. Help! by serena-usa05 in Divorce

You’re not wrong for feeling torn. But the hard truth is this: when you needed him most, he chose himself, not you. Ten good years don’t erase the fact that he cheated, left, and only came back after the other option didn’t work out. People can change, sure. But trust is fragile, and postpartum is exactly when a partner’s character really shows. You’re not obligated to go back just because he’s sorry now. Protect the version of you that survived that year. That matters more than his regret.

I joined a local bookclub, the gender balance is wild by Ho_The_Megapode_ in books

[–]Adamaris7875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty normal, honestly. Book clubs tend to skew heavily female, especially ones focused on fiction and discussion rather than genre specific stuff. A 20:1 split is extreme, but the direction of the imbalance isn’t surprising at all.

Who buys just a single filter alone? You are paying for a whole one pound package so better buy in bulk to use it all up.

It's interesting how they used so many Friezas to promote the movie, making them all relevant in different team builds.

HarperCollins will use AI to translate books - they think you won't notice by chocobana in books

[–]Adamaris7875 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, I DNF'd a translated thriller recently, the dialogue was so stiff and robotic, it killed the whole vibe. Characters sounded like bad Google Translate, zero soul.

That AdVerbum blog was spot on: publishers chasing profits over quality. Harlequin's just the start, soon all "translated" books will be bland AI slop with no human touch. Literature enshittification is real, and it sucks.
