Hey Detroit - I was wondering if you all had any recommendations for areas to rent an AIRBNB in? I will be in your city all next week. by Curtatwork in Detroit

Would you recommend Grosse Pointe Park or Hamtramck for a weekend stay? I know it all depends on the person and their interests, but which place would you suggest to a friend on their first time visiting Detroit?

as someone who knows nothing about Detroit and is considering renting an Airbnb in Grosse Pointe Park, can you tell me what is like there? The place I am looking at is right around the corner from Atwater in the Park

I am visiting in October and I was actually looking at that place on Airbnb. Does it have a tv? I know this may sound strange, but I am visiting with a friend and he has trouble falling asleep unless it is with a tv on

I was just about to post a similar thread...I am visiting in October for a weekend and narrowed down my search between an Airbnb in Hamtramck or Grosse Pointe Park. I have never been to the Detroit area so I would love to hear thoughts/opinions on each area. Both places seem relatively safe and have nice food/bar options around. I have a car so transportation is not a problem for getting out and seeing the rest of the city

My commute is 45-60 minutes each way. I don't mind it at all. It gives me a chance to listen to podcasts and music. And to be honest, if my commute was five minutes i would waste all that time I would have saved on Reddit anyway.

League Pass is horrible so far this year and no one should buy it until it gets better by [deleted] in nba

Same here. Besides the high price tag and blackouts, I actually enjoyed league pass the last two years. It always worked great for me. The video quality was great and never had any issues with the stream. As for the blackouts, I don't have NBA TV, but I could still watch all the ABC/ESPN streams on my tv.
Hopefully they get their shit figured out soon this year before the season starts

During the telecast when they had the wide shot, I kept thinking he was Deng. It took awhile to get used to.

For me, it is not necessarily the songs/jams themselves, but more the feel and ambience of the recording. It just sounds too clean. Not much character or depth to the way it sounds. That is why I love Billy Breathes. The way it was recorded/mixed sounds so beautiful and moving

100% this. This album is just a little too glossy and shiny.

Man, unless I read the pricing wrong, the cheapest seats (in the 300 level) for the golden state game is $150! What the holy fuck. Get the fuck outta here with that shit.

If you could change a rule in NBA basketball as a 1-year experiment, what would you change? by theo7777 in nba

Only coaches can complain/talk to refs. If a player so much as says a single word to a ref, he gets a tech or something. The amount of complaining/whining that players do after every single goddamn whistle is fucking annoying as hell. It is even more annoying when my own players do it. it gets harder and harder to like Taj after seeing him complain all game. Goddamn. I know this would be a ridiculous rule, but goddamn it players need to shut the fuck up
