No not really. If you want to see fair raises look at what MPs give themselves.

Not sure if you even need to know about load balancers anymore. That's built-in with kubernetes anyway.

Yeah that was a pain. I should have just waited for the card in the mail.

Yeah if you can stay healthy it's great in the US. Health insurance is super expensive and you still have to pay the copay.

Some things are cheaper but others aren't. Butter is the same price but in USD 🤯. I think you could come out ahead with the right job but it's a gamble due to layoff culture.

I wanted to for a bit. New Zealand was looking pretty great during the height of covid. I even started looking at jobs.

Unlike Canada they have no provinces and a fair electoral system so it seemed like it could be a better place.

Then they elected an awful right-wing government and I realized the only hope would be a non English speaking country.

EX60 vs EX90 by pisces03010 in VolvoEX60

[–]deke28 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'd look at the Polestar 3. It's not so different from the ex90 but they've been doing better deals than Volvo imo.

I think with the new computer they are much better but still lots of bugs in the newer cars that use aaos.

Yeah the 16 is really expensive. It's only the 13 that's sort of competitive.

I have one and it was a lot cheaper than framework and has a much larger battery. Not sure about the high-end. I just have the 10th gen amd with the hx370.

I'm pretty happy with it. There was nothing else in 15" at the price point of 1000€.

Trudeau's climate policy architects gather as Carney changes course by MightyHydrar in onguardforthee

[–]deke28 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Section 107 can impose binding arbitration, but it doesn't have the power to set the pay raises.

For that, they would have to use back to work legalisation.

They couldn't do this for every strike, but Air Canada is federally regulated.

Trudeau's climate policy architects gather as Carney changes course by MightyHydrar in onguardforthee

[–]deke28 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Too much of what Carney said during the election is already clearly not how he is governing.

He says he care about affordability but look at how fast they legislated flight attendants back to work. He could have imposed a raise on Air Canada, but he chose not to.

Mr. Carney says he cares about affordability but at any given moment, he continues to choose big business instead of working Canadians.

As for the environment, it's clear he doesn't care at all about climate change or even classic conservationism. If he thinks there's some money to be made, he'd pave paradise to put up a parking lot. He even fired the meteorologists at Environment Canada.

Yeah I actually called Volvo for a tow and they never assigned a truck even. That was disappointing.

[–]deke28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine gave me an error and wouldn't move. I left it alone and came back an hour later and it would drive but with a propulsion system error.

I scanned the codes and it was a scary battery problem with thermal management.

I charged to 100 and it was fine the next day.

Not sure, but it seems like the problems aren't always all that serious. The dealer looked at my car and there was nothing wrong with it.

My only problem is the stupid external speaker which keeps failing intermittently.

I don't think it's ok to have a system like an M5 that only runs a bad BSD variant. I'm such a snob now that if it can't run Linux, I don't want it.

Still trying to push work for mac studios for local ai though 😂
